1. A PLAGUE TALE RETURNS…

E3 pulled a few surprises out of the bag this year, although we’ll join you in saying not as many as usual. All in all 2021′s show was a virtual success however, and we’re happy with the announcements we got… Especially the sequel to Asobo Studio’s 2019 survival classic A Plague Tale: Innocence!

Titled A Plague Tale: Requiem, the above reveal trailer does its thing and has the hairs standing up on the back of my neck. We see the return of Amicia and her brother Hugo on an intense new quest for hope, with the horrifying curse once again hunting them down.

With the first game earning it’s crust as an indie classic, it showed you didn’t have to have huge backing to deliver an experience that leaves fans emotionally broken, yet desperate for more. With that in mind, we feel the follow up that launches in 2022 will be another heartbreaking epic… This time on PS5!

“But he’s my brother… And I would die for him.”

Although we don’t get any gameplay footage, we do get an overwhelming sense of excitement that we’ll get to revisit these characters and once again, sacrifice our innocence to save the one we love.

We’ll get you more on this as soon as we have it, and pre-orders will go live ASAP. Until then, perhaps we’ll have another playthrough of A Plague Tale: Innocence. Just to, y’know, get ready…
