Maknae 막내; Youngest in a brother/sisterhood.
I will take this opportunity to write about my favorite maknaes in Kpop idol. To be honest I rarely choose my bias from maknaes line, since they are mostly – all of them – younger than me (I was born in 1990) but as time goes by, they always able to take my eyes from my absolute bias and make them my favorite instead. Sometimes it’s hard since yeonhanam is not really my style, but they always able to pull off a mature side which is more mature than their hyungs. For this post I think I will write down from the very first time a maknae can pull a string in my heart. I will keep this humble, appropriate for those below 15. *evillaugh*
Shinee Maknae – Lee Tae Min (born 1993)
Original Bias: Key (1991). The reason I like Taemin is of course because of his dance. Starting from Lucifer, Taemin has been pull of his mature side at the age of 18, and his dance also become matured. That’s why he is my all time favorite dongsaeng.
B1A4 Maknae – Gong Chan (1993)
Original Bias: CNU (1991). Gongchan is cute and I like his smile. Starting from Beautiful Target.
Infinite Maknae – Lee Sung Jong (1993)
Original Bias: Woohyun (1991). A feminine and cute maknae from Infinite can take my heart. Starting from Nothing’s Over. He along with Taemin and Gongchan are my favorite 93 dongsaeng.
Exo Maknae – Oh Se Hun (1994)
Original Bias: Chanyeol (1992). He was definitely Exo maknae when they were first coming out. However, one day between missing and emptiness, he becomes an adult. Starting from his Baby Don’t Cry solo dance. More mature than his hyungs combined. Makes me forget than he is only 22.
BTS Maknae – Jeon Jung Kook (1997)
Original Bias: Suga (1993). Is this too far and should I stop? *smirk*. This golden maknae doesn’t look like a maknae at all despite his age. Starting from I Need U.
Winner Maknae – Nam Tae Hyun (1994)
Original Bias: Nam Tae Hyun (1994). Here is the worst scheme. From the first time I saw Winner, I chose him without knowing of his age. When I know, I don’t really bothered by that fact, unexpectedly. So, here he is, my first maknae bias.
GOT7 Maknae – Kim Yu Gyeom (1997)
Original Bias: Mark (1993). When I saw him house dancing, that was when I fall for him. Also starting from If You Do or was it after, when they perform on MAMA? Not sure. However, he is my newest sensation.
I will end this post with mention of maknae line I ever liked for a short time. He is 2PM Chansung (bias: Wooyoung) and MBLAQ Mir (bias: Joon). Goodbye. Next time I will write the not so humble version, maybe 19+
