You had a horrible life back at home and always dreamed of being free. That’s why you were in Neverland. You’ve been here for a while but it wasn’t anything you expected. You thought you would be happy and feel belonged which you haven’t experienced in years. Peter was the only one who felt like a friend but he was always busy with the Lost Boys and running the island.

The Lost Boys would always make everything for you worse. They called you names, beat you up, teased you, and always got you in trouble with things they did. They made fun of you for being a girl. They would call you “weak” or “worthless” and worse.

You woke up seeing the sun already rose. Peter should be out of camp doing business or something. You went to sit up with your elbows when you felt a soreness on your side. Then you remembered that some of the Lost Boys pushed you on a sharp rock near the shore.
“Stupid Boys.” you muttered in aggravation. You wanted to prove something to them. That you were better than they thought.
You went to stand up and get ready for the day but felt even more pain all over you. You couldn’t take this anymore. You hated them and what they do to you. Tears streamed down your cheeks. You felt so humiliated and worthless, you wanted to die than be in Neverland any longer. Your sobs grew louder and you curled yourself in a ball on your floor. You hoped none of them would hear.
“Y/N?” a voice asked a couple of feet away. You stopped breathing waiting for a laugh or a fist.
“What’s wrong?” they asked again. You slowly raised your head to see who they were.
“Peter.” you breathed out in relief. He cokes his head side ways and gave a confused look.
“Ugh yes, me. Why are you crying?”
“I ugh, I hurt myself on accident. ”
“How?” He said while slowly walking towards you.
“I-I tripped on something.”
“Oh.”, He seemed disappointed. “Y/N get ready, we’re going hunting today.” Ugh hunting.
“Yes Peter.” you said quietly as you turned away from him. You grabbed your shorts and blue t-shirt from your wardrobe. You took your shirt off and began pulling down your pants leaving you only in a bra and underwear. Then you heard a gasp from behind you. You turned around and saw Peter still here.
“Peter! What are you doing? I thought you left!” You tried to cover yourself but it was too late, he saw everything. He looked at your bruises and cuts which made his face soften and grow sad. Then his expression changed to blood thirsty.
“Who did this to you.” he demanded as he approached you. He reached his hand out and softly touched the big bruise on your side that was purple and swollen.
“Peter I’m sorry. I told you I tripped. ” His head shot up and he looked you straight in the eyes.
“Don’t lie to me Y/N. Who.” He said through his teeth. You looked down at your feet. If you told him you knew it would disappoint him and he would make you leave because you were being a distraction.
“Everyone.” you said.
“Everyone? Not me! I would never hurt you. Please, tell me exactly who.” his tone got more relaxed.
“Chester, Slightly, Gale, Oliver and Mason.” You looked up to see his expression, expecting to see rage and anger but you saw sorrow. He held your face with both of his hands gently.
“I promise that I won’t let anyone or anything hurt you again.” He said.
“Promise?”
“Yes Y/N. I will always protect you. And I’m sorry I didn’t know they were doing this to you. They will be punished for everything they did.” He brought you in a hug, snuggling his face into your neck. For once you felt safe and you didn’t want to let Peter go.
“I love you Y/N.” he whispered.
“I love you too, Peter.” you said with all honesty. Peter never breaks a promise.

“Y/N? You home?” You heard a sweet voice on the other side of your front door. You practically ran to see your boyfriend. You saw a huge smile on his face when after opening it.

“Damon?”

“Hey babe.” He said kissing you immediately. He pulled back and smirked at you. This was unexpected because he never stops by your house unless he forgets something.

“Did you forget something or?” You asked wondering why he stopped by your house randomly at eight at night.

“Can’t your boyfriend stop by to see his beautiful girlfriend?” He smirked.

“I guess you can stay for a little bit.” You said playfully. Although your best friend Robbie and you were going to have a movie night tonight in a couple of hours. He wouldn’t mind you thought.

“Parents aren’t home?” He asked moving his hands up your arms and down your back slowly.

“No so we can hang out for about an
hour.” You smiled but his eyebrows furrowed in frustration.

“I was hoping we could do something different tonight.” He said in a low voice.

“Like what?” You asked not understanding what he meant. Then Damon quickly kissed you. But this was a different kiss, it was rough and demanding.

He backed you up into the other room and you both fell back on the couch still kissing. He started to get under your shirt and trying to unhook your bra. You knew where this was going and you didn’t think you were ready for this yet.

“Damon.” You broke the kiss while taking his hand. He gave you a confused look.

“I’m not ready for this right now.” You admitted, his expression grew irritated.

“You’ll change your mind when I’m inside of you.” He breathed against your lips. He started nipping and sucking hard on your neck, getting lower and lower.

“Damon stop.” You tried to push him off of you but then he pinned you down onto the couch with his hips while grinding.

“Stop! Damon!” You started to scream but he covered your mouth with his hand as he undressed you and himself with his other hand. Tears rolled down your eyes, this wasn’t the Damon you knew or loved.

You guys both had pants on still, as he tried to unhook your bra you heard someone come in the house.

“Y/N? Are you upstairs?” A familiar voice spoke from the next room. You tried to move from under Damon but he was too strong.

“Really? Robbie is here?” Damon yelled at me slapping me across the face.

“Get off of her!” Robbie grabbed Damon and threw him on the ground.

“Y/N!“ Robbie took your shaking hand and had you stand behind him in a protective stance.

“Get your hands off of my girlfriend! She’s mine!” Damon yelled while shoving Robbie.

“She’s not some thing you can claim to be yours, she’s someone who deserves someone much better than you.” Robbie spat. You knew he never liked Damon but you never knew he had this protective side to him.

“Fine. She’s no fun anyway.” Damon said grabbing his shirt and leaving.

“I guess you don’t really know her then.” Robbie shouted to him. When he left Robbie brought you to the bathroom not saying anything. He turned the light on and lifted you up to sit on the counter, disappointment swept across his face when he saw where he smacked you.

“Bloody hell! I should’ve came earlier I’m sorry, Y/N.” He lifted your chin up carefully to see the stinging cut was.

“It’s not you fault.” You said softly.

“Oh! Your shirt.” He noticed and went to go get it. He came back and handed it to you only looking at his shoes. Once you were covered and you broke the silence.

“Did you really mean that or were you just being a good friend and said anything you could to make him leave?” You asked curiously. His head shot up and he raised his eyebrows.

“Y/N of course you deserve better than him, you deserve the best.” He said softly making your cheeks turn red.

“So… someone like you?” You implied honestly.

“Is it wrong that I’ve been in love with my best friend since 8th grade?” Robbie asked studying your features. All of your emotions sunk in and you felt your heart race.

“Not at all.” He smiled walking up to you to put his hand softly on your cheek.

“You’re my everything Y/N.”

It’s been a while since your friend Peter has come to visit you. He has a reputation of sneaking through your window at night when you would be in a perfect place between sleep and awake; until he would jump up and down on your bed, finding yourself tangled in blankets on the floor as he would laugh. Peter always had the most delightful laugh.

Even now you missed his obnoxious ways of waking you up, something you’d much rather go through than not see him at all.

Like many times before, you were once again in a peaceful place between sleep and awake. And as you were just about to fall into a deep sleep until you heard something.

“Y/N, get up!” The soft voice pleaded.

You groaned in frustration and rolled over to see who was calling for you at this time. You squinted your eyes and looked around your bedroom, they shot wide open when you saw his familiar figure by the window.

“Peter!” You jumped out of your warm bed and hugged him tightly.

“Miss me?” He said hugging you back. You playfully punched him in the shoulder as he mouthed the words ‘ouch’ as if your small punch had hurt him. All you did was laugh, he still had his spark.

“Where have you been?” You asked waiting to hear a reasonable answer for his rare visits.

“Running the island of course.” He snorted and spoke as if the reason for his disappearance was so obvious.

“It’s only been a few days, Y/N.” He was wrong, you took a step back and stood up straight.

“Look at me.” Peter came closer, looked you up and down then looked deep into your eyes, he shook his head and that’s when he saw it.

“Bloody hell… its been years.” His eyebrows stitched together and his smile faded. He shook his head in disapproval, almost like he didn’t want to believe that you were almost all grown. Peter started pacing back and forth with his hand over his mouth. 

Then finally he spoke, “I can’t believe I haven’t thought of this before!” A smile spreading across his face at the thought of his idea.

“What?” You asked anxious to hear. 

“Come to Neverland with me! We will be together forever!” Peter, now holding your hand, said while bringing you to the window.

“Peter I-” 

“The lost boys will love you!” He continued while opening the glass window.

“Wait, Peter-”

“I’ve told them so much about you! I might even have to make sure they don’t take you away from me-” It was almost painful to see him this happy but you knew it wasn’t right to leave your family.

“I’m not going.” You said before he could continue speaking. You saw his beautiful smile falter and felt his hand let go of yours.

“Why?” He said in a pained voice.

“My family-” 

“If your not going with me I can’t visit you ever again, Y/N.” His emerald eyes shining from the moonlight, starting to water. 

“Why?” You said a little too angry.

“It’s only a matter of time until you grow up… and when you grow up your heart dies.” A single tear fell down his cheek.

“That’s nonsense.”

“It’s not, Y/N. I thought the last time I came here was last night, I can see that it has been far longer. You’ve grown with so much beauty but it’s only a matter of time until I come visit you again and its too late; I’ll only come back to see that your married with kids, you’ll be an adult. Your beautiful smile will no longer be seen and that’s when I’ll know that your heart is gone. Your spark won’t exist and I would have nothing to live for.” Peter stepped up on the window ledge facing away from you.

“No, I won’t loose my spark,” his head turned halfway in your direction, “Peter, there’s nothing for me to live for either if you go.” 

You walk up next to him and hold his hand, all he did was stare at you as the gentle breeze moved his soft hair. Peter just smiled, then leaned over and gave you a small kiss on your lips.

“Sorry I can’t kiss you more, as much as I would like too but we have an island to go to, love.” He held your hand tighter and sprinkled green dust on both of you. “Here we go, Y/N.” He whispered in your ear softly still holding on to you. As you both jumped and flew up into the clouds, you knew you made the right decision. To be with your best friend, your true love.
