This was requested by @rebelangelx3: If so i would like a fluff imagine with Lucifer if possible; maybe the new years revolution one?

Lucifer wasn’t one for celebrations.  If it didn’t celebrate him, he didn’t care much for the holiday.  Unfortunately, you were one to celebrate every major holiday.  Christmas was the hardest for Lucifer, but he did it for you.  He did it because he loved you.  Now he was celebrating New Year’s; all for you.

It was close to midnight and Lucifer had watched you drink for the past two hours.  If you weren’t going to drink responsibly, Lucifer was going to be by your side just in case.  On Christmas you threw up from too much eggnog.  He was the one to hold your hair back that night.  You seemed to be taking it much easier tonight.  He quickly retreated to your room where there was no loud noises, and no angels.

“Hey Lu,” you greeted, sitting down on his lap.  “Dean, Sam, Cas, Gabriel, and Balthazar are in the library.  It’s a party in there.  Why don’t you come and join us?  It’s almost midnight.”

Lucifer sighed, his hand resting on the small of your back.  “I know you enjoy holidays [Y/N],” Lucifer noted.  “We just got done with one holiday, give me a break.  All of this is unnecessary.”

“New Year’s is a time where you get to start anew Lu,” you reasoned.  “A new start to a new year.  There’s a thing called resolutions that people try every year.  Sure maybe our lives won’t be any different from last year, but we can try to change even the smallest thing with a resolution.”

“Elaborate,” Lucifer muttered, tapping a finger to his chin.  He was suddenly intrigued by your talk of ‘resolutions’.

“Let’s take Gabriel for example,” you began.  “For him an easy New Year’s resolution would be for him to eat less cake.  Or for him to eat less sweets all together.”  You paused watching Lucifer’s reaction.  “For Dean, it would probably to eat a little healthier.  Less pie, more ‘rabbit food’.  Sam is more difficult, so we’ll skip him.  For Cas, it would be to mend old relationships.  Most likely with angels who he has wronged.  For Balthazar, less sex and less alcohol.”

Lucifer tilted his head slightly, narrowing his eyes at you.  “What do you think my New Year’s resolution should be [Y/N],” Lucifer wondered.

“Hmm,” you hummed.  “If I had to choose, it would be for you to try to enjoy yourself a little more.”  You smiled, proud with your answer.  “Sure you hate humans, but look at how far you’ve come.  You love one human, and you’ve learned to tolerate two other humans.  I don’t think you’ll ever love all of humanity, hell even I don’t love all of humanity.  However, I think you can work on not wanting to kill all of them at once.”

Lucifer nodded, processing your words.  Lucifer pulled you closer to him, pressing your body against his.  “You know what your New Year’s resolution should be [Y/N],” Lucifer asked.

“What should it be,” you questioned, leveling your eyes with his blue orbs.

“I think you should spend more time with me,” Lucifer smirked.  “You’re always so busy with those Losechesters.  There are hundreds of hunters out there.  You don’t have to take on every case that comes your way.  Slow down and live a little, angel.  I don’t have eternity with you, you know?”

Your expression softened realizing what Lucifer had said.  You weren’t mad at the fallen archangel.  You hadn’t noticed that he was upset by this.  You cupped Lucifer’s face in your hands.  “Normally humans don’t let others decide their resolutions,” you informed him.  “But in this case, I’m willing to break that rule.”

“I guess I can try this whole ‘resolution’ thing,” Lucifer mused, rolling his eyes.  “Don’t get used to it [Y/N].  Especially if some human or angel makes googly eyes at you.”

You giggled, stopping when you heard Sam and Dean’s voices counting down.  “Now we get to celebrate the best part of New Year’s,” you purred.

“Which is,” Lucifer wondered, raising an eyebrow at you.

You didn’t answer Lucifer.  Once you heard Sam and Dean yell one, you pressed your lips against Lucifer’s.  He was quick to react.  Lucifer tightened his arms around you.  He quickly flicked his finger, closing and locking your bedroom door.  He grazed his tongue along your bottom lip, demanding to deepen the kiss.

Unfortunately, you broke the kiss so you could catch your breath.  “Happy New Year Lucifer,” you spoke softly.

“I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but Happy New Year [Y/N],” Lucifer whispered.  He entangled his hand in your hair, smashing his lips against yours.

Lucifer was going to bring in the new year with a little more than a kiss.
