Pi day Interesting Facts: •Pi has been calculated out to over 5 trillion digits. •The first six digits of Pi (314159) appear in order at least six times among the first 10 million decimal places. •If a billion decimals of Pi were printed in ordinary type, they would stretch from New York City, to the middle of Kansas. •Computing Pi is considered to be a digital stress test of sorts for computers. •At position 763 there are six nines in a row. This is known as the Feynman Point. •The symbol for Pi (π) has been used regularly in its mathematical sense only for the past 250 years •Albert Einstein was born on March 14th, 1879. •The record for reciting the most number of decimal places of Pi was achieved by Rajveer Meena at VIT University, Vellore, India on 21 March 2015. He was able to recite 70,000 decimal places. To maintain the sanctity of the record, Rajveer wore a blindfold throughout the duration of his recall, which took an astonishing 10 hours! #piday #nationalpiday
