How long has training been an important part of your life?

Brayden (B) - When I moved to Brandon about 4 years ago, I was looking for a place to train. Feedback came to me from my friends that Outperforme was the place to be. For me training is really important to improve yourself for the goals you have planned ahead.

How long have you been training with Outperforme Athletics?

B - I joined Outperforme 4 years ago when I moved to Brandon.

Do you have any specific long-term athletic and training goals?

B - I would like to improve my strength and speed for the upcoming season. I have also been working on my core strength to improve my puck protection. My goal is to achieve a pro level of hockey and working with Outperforme has been a great place to improve my game for making this goal possible.

Outperforme (O) – A fantastic goal. We’re proud you chose us to help us reach your goal.

What is your most memorable accomplishment since joining Outperforme?

B - My most memorable accomplishment since joining Outperforme would be competing in the Quebec International Peewee Tournament. Not only did I compete but my team made it to the finals. It was the experience of a lifetime and I will always remember it.

What is your favourite exercise and why?

B - Paul has designed programs for me with a variety of exercises that are perfect for my training goals but if I had to pick a favorite exercise it would be Bench Press. I have always liked Bench Press because it is a great exercise for your upper body strength and I love to see my progress in weight on the bar.

O – Dip bar holds are a clear favorite.

What is your least favourite exercise and why?

B - I like all the exercises Paul gives me but the core exercises are always a challenge to me. Although they are hard in the end I love seeing my progress.

What is your favourite song to listen to before working out or competition?

B - The greatest by Sia.

How do you describe the concept of the Outperforme Family to someone who hasn’t trained here before?

B - Outperforme has put a smile on my face from the first day I walked through the door. It’s a community that accepts all and is determined to help you strive for your goals. All the trainers and staff put in hard work and hours for you and to me that’s pretty special.

O – We are very lucky to work with likeminded individuals such as yourself. The hard work and determination makes our job incredibly easy.

What is something you have learned since joining the Outperforme Family?

B - Not only have I learned that the Outperforme community is great place to train, but the other athletes there are some of the most talented and determined people I have ever seen. It really speaks for what Outperforme is about and how they can get you to that next level.

What is your most memorable Outperforme Training moment?

B - My most memorable training moment would be playing in the annual Butter’s Cup. It was a great experience for me being with all the athletes that train at Outperforme.

O – Hopefully you have better luck this year.

Who is your favourite Outperforme Athlete to train with and why?

B - My favorite athlete to train with is Calder Anderson. Calder has been my best friend since I moved to Brandon. I have been doing my training sessions with Calder basically since I started here at Outperforme and it really has been a pleasure to work with such a hard working athlete like Calder.

Do you have a favourite post-training meal or smoothie?
