Tom Holland is 100% the type of guy that flirts with moms, you know it’s true
Summary: Tom takes you on a much needed date. And later, you discuss getting a dog.
“I feel like we haven’t been on a proper date in ages,” Tom muttered to you as the two of you lied on the couch watching a movie on Friday night.
“What do you mean? We went to dinner on Tuesday.”
“That wasn’t a date though. That just felt like…going out to dinner.”
“We had sex when we got home,” you offered.
“Sex after dinner doesn’t make it a date,” he said, shaking his head as if it were obvious.
You laughed at his mockingly baffled expression. “Okay.”
It was kind of true - ever since Tom had proposed to you four months ago, much of your free time together had been spent on wedding planning, and less than you would’ve liked had been spent focusing on your relationship.
“Can I take you out tomorrow?” he asked seriously.
“You’re funny. Of course,” you smiled.
“‘Mkay. Good,” he said, sliding his hands over your feet in his lap and turning his focus back to the television.
“You’re so adorable,” Tom smiled as you grabbed your jacket off the hook by the door late morning the next day.
“What?” you chuckled, slipping your arms into the sleeves, uncertain what prompted his affection.
“I don’t know, something about you in a sweater just puts me in a mood. You look so…snuggly.”
You intertwined the fingers of both of your hands and tilted your chin up to kiss him.
He pulled away after a few seconds. “Sorry, darling, I’ve got to go. I have a date,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“A date?” you asked, feigning surprise. “Do people still go on those?”
He squeezed your hand with a smile and led you out the door.
“Tom, I’m impressed with you,” you said with a soft smile as you lay with your head in his denim-clad lap under the orangey-purple sky as the sun began to dip towards the horizon. It was warm for late October; still slightly chilly in the evening air but warm enough to be comfortable in sweaters and jackets. He let out a laugh, twirling a piece of your hair around his index finger.
“Yeah?”
“Mmmhmm.” You grabbed his hand from your hair and pressed your lips to the soft skin on the back.
It’d been a lovely afternoon. Tom had taken you to a vineyard an hour outside the city that hosted visitors on Saturdays. You’d spent the early afternoon wandering the massive, gorgeous vineyard together. Come early evening you’d returned to the winery on the front of the property, setting a big blanket out on the sprawling lawn beside it and planting yourselves there for a couple hours while you were brought samplings of the wines fermented on the property and copious delicious appetizers - warm brie with cranberries, apple and cheddar souffles, pecan-crusted chicken, squash and sage butter risotto, and dijon apple cider mussels. The food and wine had been finished, but you hung around enjoying the picturesque evening. Other couples and groups of people were scattered throughout the lawn, but you felt certain no one was as happy to have escaped the city for the day as you and Tom.
“Thank you for today. You make me so happy,” you cooed at him, earning a smile in return.
“I love-”
A boxer puppy ran onto your blanket then, pouncing onto your stomach and interrupting Tom.
“Oof,” you huffed with a laugh, sitting up to pet the adorable dog. “Hi there, cutie!” you exclaimed in your talking-to-dogs voice. “Oh my goodness, you’re so friendly,” you continued as the puppy jumped up to lick your face.
“I’m so sorry,” said the dog’s owner as he slowed down his run after the dog as he neared your blanket.
“Oh it’s no problem, man,” Tom said, petting the dog still jumping all over you.
“He’s so sweet,” you said as the owner picked up the dog.
“Thanks! He just turned four months,” said the man proudly before his eyes settled on Tom. “Hey wait, are you…an actor? Tom…something?”
Tom still got a sheepish look on his face whenever people recognized him when he wasn’t expecting it. “Ha, um, yeah,” he chuckled, choosing not to elaborate. You smiled at him, finding his timidness adorable.
“Well, cool. Hope you guys have a great rest of your day,” he said, waving his hand in the air.
“Thanks, yeah, you too, mate,” Tom called as he walked away with his puppy.
Tom’s eyes settled back on yours, and you put a hand to his cheek and kissed him.
“What?” he questioned with a smile.
“Just, you,” you said with a grin.
He took your left hand, running his thumb over your engagement ring, as he’d gotten in the habit of doing since June, and dipped his head to press a kiss to your shoulder. “I love you.”
You re-adjusted yourself to sit between his legs, leaning back against his chest while he leaned back on his hands. You ran your hands over his knees on either side of you.
“Maybe we should get a dog,” you suggested after a minute.
He leaned down to the side so he could see your face, and you turned your head towards him.
“Really?”
“Yes…”
“You know I’ve wanted to get a dog for years. Don’t mess with me.”
“Well, why not? You’re stuck with me now. Might as well become dog parents.”
“Are you asking me to be the father of your dog?”
“I guess I am.”
“I feel like you should get on one knee or something.”
You elbowed him with a laugh.
“Yes, let’s get a dog. Tomorrow,” Tom said, a exaggeratedly determined look on his face.
“Oh, boy-”
“Tomorrow. I’m not letting you back out.”
“I’m not gonna back out.”
“Good. So tomorrow, then.”
You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t keep your lips from quirking up at the sides. “Sounds like a date.”

Summary: You and Tom take on the first trimester (plus a couple weeks) of your pregnancy.
-so Tom has to leave when you’re 6 weeks pregnant to go shoot for 3 months but honestly you’re glad it was scheduled for the beginning so he’ll be home when doing day-to-day activities gets harder
-you want to tell your immediate family in person before he leaves so you go down to your hometown to tell your parents together. You facetime your siblings, and your mom’s crying and she won’t stop hugging you and your dad’s congratulating Tom and clapping him on the back like dads do and your siblings are SCREAMING over the phone
Summary: You have the flu, and Tom takes care of you.
Fall had been a busy season at work, and that coupled with flying out to various events with Tom on the weekends had caused you to completely forget to get your flu shot - something you were always adamant about getting. And, alas - the first week of December rolled around, and you came down with the flu. Luckily, Tom was home and around to take care of you.
You’d fallen asleep re-watching Stranger Things from the comfort of your bed, but you woke up to the sound of the bedroom door clicking open. Tom poked his head in to check on you and saw you turn your head in the direction of the door.
“How ya feelin’, love?” he said sympathetically, coming into the room.
You rolled over to face him, groaning with the strain on your aching muscles. “Not so good,” you sniffled.
He put the back of his hand to your forehead. “You still feel pretty feverish.”
“I need to pee,” you said, reaching your hands towards him.
Understanding your gesture, Tom pulled you upright, and you swung your legs out of bed and hobbled to the bathroom, rubbing your eyes as you went.
“Uhghh,” you groaned at the blinding bathroom light, and switched it back off, feeling your way to the toilet.
“You just gonna piss in the dark?” Tom called, and you could hear the amusement in his voice.
“Yes I am,” you croaked back, not finding it amusing at all. You jumped as the toilet seat fell down, banging loudly.
You could see Tom’s silhouette approaching the doorway as you sat yourself down. “Just wanted to make sure you didn’t fall in.”
You let a sharp breath out your nose, too tired and weary to laugh.
When you were done, Tom had gone to the kitchen and returned with a fresh glass of water and a popsicle. He’d made homemade chicken soup earlier that day and you’d tried to eat a little, but the chunks hurt too much on your sore throat and you were only able to sip the broth. You’d felt so bad that he’d gone to all the effort, and told him so, but he’d just laughed and kissed you on the forehead and told you to stop apologizing for being sick. You’d stuck to popsicles since then.
You climbed back into bed, sitting up against the pillows, before you took the water from him. You took a few sips and then set it down on your side table. You took the popsicle from his other hand and he climbed into bed next to you. You leaned your head on his shoulder, and he rubbed your bare leg with his warm hand as you let the cold sweetness relieve the ache of your throat.
A minute later, you sneezed, suddenly enough that you didn’t have enough time to grab a tissue, and snot partially dyed orange from the popsicle landed on your chin and on Tom’s hand on your leg.
You both froze. Tom’s mouth opened slowly. “That’s got to be one of the grossest things you’ve ever done.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, and then whine at the pain in your chest. “Tom, get me a tissue,” you said, holding your chin up so that your snot didn’t drip off.
He leaned to the side table, wiping his hand with a tissue with a disgusted ‘ugh’ before wiping it across your chin, and then handing it to you to blow your nose into. He held out his hand for you to drop the tissue back into, and went to the bathroom to throw it out and wash his hands for a good three minutes.
You’d finished the popsicle and downed the rest of the water by the time he got back.
“Sorry about that one,” you said tentatively, and he rolled his eyes and shook his head with a what-can-you-do smile as he took the water glass from your hands.
“Can I get you anything else besides more water?”
“Tea please. With loads of honey.”
“Yes ma’am.”
He returned with a steaming cup of your favorite cinnamon spice tea. “Might want to let that cool a bit,” he said, setting it on the table and sitting back on the bed next to you.
“Mkay,” you sniffled, laying back down on your side and curling your body to put your head on Tom’s lap.
His fingers immediately started running through your hair and massaging your scalp. He knew it was your favorite, and always made you feel comforted.
“I’m sorry you’re so sick, bug,” he murmured softly after a few minutes, running a hand down over your back, clothed in a cozy sweatshirt of his.
“Mmm,” you hummed. “Thanks for taking such good care of me even when I sneeze on you,” you muttered back, receiving a chuckle in response.
Tom took a sip of the hot mug of tea. “You can probably drink this now, if you still want it,” he told you softly.
“I’ll drink it later,” you said, nuzzling your face against his thigh. “This is the comfiest I’ve been in the past 48 hours.”
“Okay. You should try to get some more sleep, then,” he suggested quietly, still pushing his fingers through your hair and up and down your back gently.
“Mmm,” you sighed, already halfway there, grateful for your wonderful boyfriend and his selfless love for you.

Summary: THE PROPOSAL.
“Babe, have you seen my keys?” you shouted to Tom from your bedroom, where you were looting through your dresser drawers trying to find them.
It was Tom’s birthday, and his parents and his younger brother Paddy were on a flight from England to spend the week in New York celebrating. Sam had flown in the night prior and stayed at Harry’s apartment 20 blocks away. Since your families rarely had the chance to spend time together, your parents and your siblings were all coming up that evening as well, and you were hosting everyone for dinner to celebrate Tom’s 26th birthday. It would be the first time your entire families were together in over a year, and you were anxiously excited.
Tom huffed an overdramatic sigh as he wandered into the room a minute later. “You can’t find your keys on your own, just this once? On my birthday?”
You turned to him and rolled your eyes with a smile as he approached you, and reached up to wind your arms around his neck. “Sorry, birthday boy,” you murmured, pressing a kiss to his warm mouth as his hands slid down to the small of your back.
He grinned. “S’alright. You’ll just have to make it up to me later,” he said with a wink, playfully slapping your ass before releasing you and heading for the walk-in closet to join the search.
Less than two minutes later, he came out of the closet, spinning your key ring on his index finger.
“How did you find them that fast?” you said, mind-blown at his speed.
“Call it a lucky guess,” he said with a grin, catching the keys and holding them behind his back. “Are you ready to make it up to me now?”
You couldn’t help but smile at this mischief dancing across his features, but you really needed to run some errands before your families got in. “I need to go grocery shopping.”
“I think it can wait.”
“Tom, I have to–”
“Nope. You’ll have to wrangle the keys from me if you want to go anywhere,” he said, dodging your hand reaching for his arm and dashing out the door of your bedroom.
“Toooom,” you whined, but laughed as you ran after him.
Your socks helped you slide past your living room and into the kitchen, where Tom was jingling the keys on the other side of the island tauntingly. You veered right and he went the other way, and you circled the island and followed him into the living room. You reached out for the back pocket of his jeans and caught it by a finger, but then hit your hip against one of the armchairs and he was out of reach in an instant. He leaped over the couch, his adorable laugh filling the room.
“Not fair!” you called after him, moving around the couch as he sprinted back down the hallway towards your bedroom. “I can’t jump like that!”
“Not my problem,” he panted as you wheeled around the doorframe, catching him standing in the middle of the room, sliding the keys into his back pocket.
You circled each other like boxers in a ring, slowly creeping closer together, both of you trying to keep straight faces through your laughing and heavy breathing, and when he’d circled around the room a full time, you made your move. You faked left, and as he jumped to the right to move around you, you switched directions, pushing his torso backward until he hit the wall.
“Gotcha,” you taunted, your face barely an inch from his, and your hand slowly sliding around his waist toward his back pocket.
“Do you?” he grinned, and then suddenly began tickling your very ticklish sides.
“Tom! No!” you tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but you were locked in. “Tom, stop!” You were simultaneously screeching and laughing hysterically.
He stilled his hands against your sides, leaning back against the wall and pulling you close to him. You looked into each other’s eyes for a minute as your laughs died down and you caught your breath.
“Can I have my keys back now?” you asked.
He smiled and slid a hand into his back pocket and began to pull them out. “I suppose.”
You reached for them, but he pulled them up out of your reach, and then back behind his back. “Give me a kiss first.”
You shook your head but pressed your lips to his with a smile, twice, resting your hands against his chest and leaning into him.
“Now tell me you love me.”
“I love you, you weirdo.”
“Tell me you want to be with me forever.”
“I want to be with you fooooooreeeeeever,” you drew out dramatically, running your hands over his shoulders.
“Then tell me you’ll marry me.”
You froze, wide eyes meeting his, and taking a subconscious step backward from him.
Tom bit his lip, finally pulling your keys in front of him and twisting an engagement ring - that he’d clearly hidden - from the key ring, and a smile began to creep over your face. He tossed the rest of your keys past you and onto your bed, and then slid down onto one knee.
His head tilted up and he caught your eyes. “I love you, so much. I – I – I can’t remember anything that I was going to say, fuck.”
“Yes,” you said, your eyes getting all watery against your will. “Yes.”
“Shhh, I’m trying to propose to you,” he laughed softly, watching your face intently. You released a breath in a sudden laugh at that, and a few tears slid down your cheeks.
He took a breath and started again. “I just…I can’t imagine anything better than living my entire life out with you. I feel like I can take on the world when I’m with you. You make me so, so happy it honestly makes me feel like I’m insane sometimes. You’re so – you’re everything to me. Just, everything. And I would really love to marry you, if you’ll have me.”
You nodded as more tears spilled over. “Yes! Of course. Of course, of course, of course.”
You held your left hand out to him, and he slid the ring onto your finger, grasping your hand and running his thumb over the ring as he stood up. You enveloped him in the tightest hug, wiping your face against his shoulder. When you pulled back, you both had the biggest grins on your faces.
“I feel like it’s my birthday,” you giggled, pressing your lips to his.
Tom hummed contentedly against your mouth. “It’s definitely my best birthday ever,” he murmured, nuzzling his nose against yours, “and it’s only 9 in the morning.”
You rested your head on his shoulder and held your hand out to look at your ring. Then you lifted your head and kissed him again. “I wish I had better words than ‘I love you.’”
“I know the feeling.”

Summary: Tom’s been away for a few weeks, and you surprise him.
“Yeah, when you get in the building, take that first hall to the right. He should be in one of the rooms on the left being groomed for tomorrow with Christine.”
“Thank youuuu,” you said, drawing it out.
“No problem, see you later.”
You clicked off the phone with Harrison, opening the door of the studio in LA where Tom was preparing for a promo event. He’d been away for a couple of weeks, and you really wanted to surprise him.
“Chris, you are the best. I love it.”
You heard your boyfriend’s voice as your turned the corner, emanating from just inside a room up on your left. He strode out of the room casually, one hand in the pocket of his trousers and one pushing back his curls, which were finally starting to really grow back in after having been chopped off for a role.
You caught his eye almost immediately, and he stopped dead in his tracks, his mouth turning up into a surprised smile.
“What–” he began, but cut off when Christine slammed straight into his suddenly stationary body exiting the door, spilling all the swatches and tools in her hands to the floor.
“Tom!” she groaned.
“Shit. I’m sorry,” he said to Christine as you bit back a laugh and helped the two of them pick up everything that had dropped.
“Hi Christine,” you said as you crouched to the ground.
“Oh! Hello!” she exclaimed, finally registering your presence. “Tom didn’t tell me you were coming in.”
“I didn’t know she was,” Tom said as the three of you stood up, his one hand extending to pile items into Christine’s waiting arms, and his other reaching to pull you into him. “What are you doing here?” he asked with a smile, pressing a kiss to your lips.
“I was in the neighborhood.”
His smile grew larger.
Christine said, “I have another meeting so I’m gonna jet, but it was nice to see you, (Y/N). I’ll see you both tomorrow?”
“You too!”
“Yeah, thanks, Chris,” Tom said to her as she started walking down the hallway.
He turned back to you, and you put your arms around his neck. “You look handsome today.”
“You’re welcome!” Christine called as she opened the door at the end of the hall to leave, making you laugh.
“I can’t believe you’re here,” Tom said, running a hand over your hair.
“I missed you,” you said, nudging your nose against his.
“Missed you more,” he murmured, tilting his chin to capture your lips in another quick kiss.
“Can we eat?” you asked as you pulled away, starved from your day of traveling.
“Definitely,” Tom replied, sliding his hand into yours and pulling you down the hallway towards the front door of the building, hitting switches to turn the lights off as he went.
He opened the door with an ear-to-ear grin.
“What are you smiling at, you goof?”
“You,” he said simply, squeezing your hand in his as he let the door shut behind you, more than happy to have you by his side.
