Chapter Two

Second Person POV
These kind of events weren’t your thing; fancy get togethers where everyone got acquainted with each other as classical music played in the background.
Your parents forced you to dress in a short, green dress with silver heels. A silver tiara and silver hoop earrings were added to finish the outfit.
You stared down at the party happening below you, arms leaning on the railing as your chin sat in the palm of your hand.
“Well, what’s a princess like you doing up here all alone?”
You immediately stood up straight as a male swiftly came up to you, his blonde hair and purple eyes shining in the light as his white suit complimented his looks. You had to admit, he was rather atttractive.
“Just..enjoying the view.”
You replied with a polite smile, looking down at the people on the lower level.
“Well, it’s no fun just enjoying the view. Why not become it?”
You looked up, immediately noticing the male’s hand stretched towards you. You hesitantly shook your head no as you embarrassingly looked at the ground,
“I..don’t dance.”
“A princess like you can’t dance?”
You immediately looked up at the blonde, glaring at him,
“I can dance! I just..don’t.”
“That’s alright, darling. I’ll stay up here and enjoy the view with you.”
The two of you stared down at the gathering of people, pointing out little things and laughing at some of them. As you were laughing, you had accidentally let out a snort, causing you to immediately cover your mouth with your hand.
“I-I’m sorry-”
“No, please don’t apologize.”
The male reached for your hands and slowly pried them away from your mouth, giving you a gentle smile,
“That was cute.”
You looked away bashfully, unsure on how to respond. As you looked at the ground below you, you noticed that people were beginning to bid each other goodbye as they took their leave.
“Well, would you look at that. It’s ending already.”
The blonde beside you voiced your thoughts. You sighed, turning to face the male,
“I best get going. I should start to see the guests out.”
“Wait a minute, darling. I haven’t even gotten your name.”
You smiled, holding out your hand,
“[Y/n]. [Y/n] [L/n].”
The blonde smiled, taking your hand into his own and bringing it up to your lips, kissing the back of it.
“Well, [Y/n], if you ever need me, ask for Tamaki Suoh in music room three at Ouran Private Academy.”
Before you could respond, the call of your name caught your attention. You quickly bid the male goodbye before rushing off, leaving him by himself.

Third Person POV
The blonde haired male sighed for the nth time that day as he stared at the large, pink doors that led out to the hallway. A poke to his arm caught his attention as he looked down at a little blonde haired boy staring up at him.
“Tama-Chan, are you sure that you’re okay?”
The boy asked, clenching his stuffed animal as his lips formed a small pout. The taller blonde haired male ruffled the boy’s head, smiling as he did so,
“I’m okay, Honey-Senpai. I just..have a lot on my mind right now.”
“By ‘right now’, you mean for the past week, don’t you?”
A ginger-haired male asked, earning a glare from the blonde.
“He’s right, boss. You’ve been distracted for the past week. Everyone can tell.”
The other ginger stated, earning a nod from everyone else. The blonde haired male immediately began to protest,
“I-I haven’t been distracted! I’ve just been…thinking.”
“Thinking about whatever happened at the gathering at the [L/n] residence?”
A black haired male with glasses asked, immediately causing the blonde male to shut up. His face flushed a deep shade of red as everyone looked at him in shock.
“Senpai, something happened?”
A brown haired female asked, concerned for her friend. The shorter blonde looked up at him and grabbed the fabric of his sleeve,
“Tama-Chan, is everything okay? You can talk to us, you know!”
The taller blonde smiled as he shook his head,
“No, no, it was nothing bad. I just…met someone.”

Second Person POV
You stood outside two large pink doors with the sign ‘music room three’ above it. Your mind and heart were in a battle, fighting each other on if you should go in or leave the school building and head home.
You took a deep breath, letting your heart win, and opened the pink doors. A bright light shone in your face, you having to blink a few times in order to get adjusted.
You immediately noticed the long table in the middle of the room with a group of men sitting at it. Your eyes scanned the table until you made eye contact with a familiar pair of purple hues.
“Tamaki..”
You breathed out, unsure on what to do now that you found him. Acting for you, the male immediately rose from his chair and ran to you, engulfing you in a hug.
You shyly returned the embrace as you buried your face in his chest. The two of you remained like that for a moment before someone tugged on the hem of your uniform skirt, earning your attention.
You looked down to see a little blonde haired boy looking up at you with big, round eyes,
“Are you Tama-Chan’s girlfriend?”
You looked at Tamaki before the two of you pulled apart, awkwardly avoiding eye contact. You shook your head no as you adjusted your school uniform,
“Um- no..I’m just an acquaintance.”
Unbeknownst to you, Tamaki frowned at how you referred to yourself. He saw you as more than an acquaintance - he saw you as someone he deeply bonded with and would like to get to know better.
“So, how do you know boss?”
Two ginger-haired males appeared on each side of you and spoke simultaneously. You looked at one, then the other, before answering their question.
“My parents hosted a gathering a week ago and we met there.”
“So, you’re [Y/n] [L/n]?”
A black haired male with glasses asked, writing in a black notebook he carried. You nodded, straightening your posture,
“Indeed I am.”
“I’m so glad you visited, princess. I was starting to think that you forgot about me.”
The blonde - Tamaki - spoke as he took one of your hands into his own. You smiled, relishing in the feeling of his touch.
“How could I?”
You began to look around the room - noticing the lack of musical tools despite it being a music room. All that was there was the table and chairs in the middle of the space. You looked at Tamaki, who’s eyes were shining down at you,
“So..what kind of club is this?”
“It’s a host club!”
You felt your heart drop as you slowly turned to look at the little blonde haired boy holding a stuffed animal.
“What do you mean..?”
“We entertain girls who have way too much time on their hands.”
The black haired male with glasses answered. You looked back at Tamaki, realizing that he was doing nothing but his job as a host.
You retracted your hand from his grip and took a few steps away from Tamaki, noticing the panicked expression on his face.
“P-princess-”
“Don’t call me that.”
You snapped, feeling hurt and embarrassed from the way you thought he had genuinely taken an interest in you.
“I have to go. Goodbye, Suoh.”
Tamaki felt his heart drop at the use of his last name as he watched you turn on your heel and exit the room.
“What have I done..?”
~~
The next few nights were filled with nothing but sorrow as you cried yourself to sleep. You felt so stupid that you had actually taken a liking to him so quickly. You should’ve known better from someone who wore his heart on his sleeve.
You were about to doze off in class when the bell suddenly rang, indicating the end of the school day. You didn’t fail to notice the sudden murmurs going around the classroom or the way girls rushed into the hall.
You packed your things and exited the classroom, people staring at you as you did so. You found everyone’s behavior rather strange, considering you never got stares or things whispered about you - You were an easy-going person that no one disliked.
“[Y/n]!”
You felt your stomach drop at the call of your name, immediately recognizing the voice that called out to you. You slowly turned around, frowning when you saw none other than Tamaki headed towards you.
“What do you want, Suoh? You know this is a private academy for girls.”
How was he even let in? You thought. There’s no way the school would allow a male to enter the school unless it was for special occasions.
“I came to see you, princess.”
Tamaki swiftly brought your hand into his own as he stared down at you with his purple eyes. You retracted your hand, letting it fall back to your side.
“Why? We have no business with each other.”
“I disagree. I came to talk to you about the other day…”
Tamaki paused, letting out a small sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair,
“I wasn’t trying to play with your feelings or simply act as a host. You have genuinely caught my eye, dear. I’d like to get to know you better. Please trust me.”
You took a step back, feeling a bit embarrassed from the public confession.
“Trust is something that’s earned, not given, Suoh.”
“Then how can I earn your trust?”
Tamaki asked, his hopeful eyes searching for something - anything - that he can do to let you trust him again. You sighed,
“Fine. I give you seven days to prove that you want to get to know me better. If you haven’t earned my trust by then, then you might as well forget about me.”
Tamaki smiled,
“Deal.”
