Inktober Day 26: soon the head caught up to him. It bounded
into the air and sunk it’s teeth into his left leg. Sam screamed with
pain and ran faster. But the woman and her head stayed right behind.
Soon the head leaped into the air again and bit into his other leg.
Then they were gone. The End. Alvin Schwartz

Inktober Day 31: Something simple since I’m still a bit woozy from my
surgery this morning. I just wanted to thank all of you that have
followed along this whole month. I made it through my goal of completing
an entire Inktober. Last year I was so close,but I’m glad I made it
through this year’s. What’s funny is I’ve been so busy working digitally
that I didn’t realize how much I missed drawing in the sketchbook. Now
everyone enjoy their Halloween evening! And thank you all again :D.
Inktober Day 24: “Good evening,” Sam said. “What brings you out so
late?” But she didn’t answer. Then he said, “May I carry your basket?”
She handed it to him. From under the cloth, a small voice said “That’s
very nice of you,” and that was followed by wild laughter. Sam was so
startled that he dropped the basket– and out rolled out a woman’s head.

Inktober Day 17: An elderly couple came to the door. They
didn’t rent rooms, they said. But they would be glad to have them stay
overnight as their guests. They had plenty of room, and they would

Inktober Day 20: They stopped in a restaurant and had breakfast. When
they told the owner where they had stayed, he was shocked. “That can’t
be,” he said. “That house burned to the ground, and the man and woman
who lived there died in the fire.” - Alvin Schwartz

Day 19: The young couple got up early the next morning before their
hosts had awaken. On the table near the front door, they left an
envelope with some money in it for the room. They went on to the next

Day 22: Sam Lewis spent the evening playing chess at his friends house.
It was about midnight when they finished their game, then he started
home. Outside it was icy cold and quiet as the grave.

Day 21: The young couple could not believe it. So they went back to the
house. Only this time there was no house. All they found was a burned
out shell. They stood starting at the ruins trying to understand what
had happened. Then the woman screamed. In the rubble was a badly burned
table, like the one they had seen by the front door. On the table was
the envelope they had left that morning. The End -Alvin Schwartz

Inktober Day 4: Years passed. Alfred and
Jenny grew old. One day Jenny became very sick. The doctor told her she
