Q:Do you know if JL's black Hohner accordion still exists? That was such a pretty instrument.
JF: The black one. Hmm… I remember the red Hohner, and the big white one. I suspect any of John’s old instruments are in a closet or our space. The only black one that stand out in my memory is “Toothless Joe” which I took possession of a few years back (the maker’s name eludes me) It’s pretty much just for decoration now. It was JLs instrument in the 80s and is unplayablenow as many of the tings that were once glued together
