Director/co-writer Mickey Reece and Actress/Producer Molly C. Quinn discuss their supernatural horror thriller AGNES.
In the film AGNES we are introduced to Father Donaghue and Deacon Ben who are sent to a remote convent after a report of a nun’s disturbing behavior sparks rumors of demonic possession. Father Donaghue no longer holds firm in his previous beliefs about the rite and has become disillusioned. Ben tries to assist but the priest’s methods backfire and he has no choice but to call in an old colleague for help, which leaves a wake of terror and trauma.
AGNES is directed and co-written by Mickey Reece, a native of Oklahoma City, OK, and he has directed over twenty five feature films in just over a decade, each film featuring his unique brand of arthouse cinema. Actress Molly C. Quinn plays Mary and is a producer on ANGES through her production company QWGMIRE, which she founded in 2019 along with Elan Gale and Matthew Welty. Mickey and Molly joined me to discuss AGNES in advance of the film’s premier at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.
AGNES is playing at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and will be available for at home viewing beginning June 12th, and through June 23rd, 2021.

PEACOCK is a South African gothic horror tale that follows the journey of Anna Pohl, played by actress Tarryn Wyngaar. Anna is young woman on a journey into the dark recesses of the Afrikaner psyche and its compromised past. She is stuck in a puritanical institution known simply as The Foundation. When Anna transgresses The Foundation’s strict moral standards, she is sent away to care for Sarel, one of its founding members. Actor Johan Botha plays Sarel, an apartheid-era theologian living out his last days in demented paranoia on his isolated farm. He is suffering from visions and hallucinations as he is haunted by ghosts from the past. Suffering her own guilt, Anna gets sucked into Sarel’s dark world and begins to see his apparitions. Anna realizes she must act on her deepest convictions if she is to save herself.

The new animated feature THE SPINE OF NIGHT is and epic fantasy tale set in a world where a sacred planet rose for the corpse of ancient gods. The narrative offers the tale of an ambitious young man who steals the forbidden knowledge from one of the last sacred plants and unleashes ages of suffering onto mankind.
