Woman Crush Wednesday: MØ

Danish singer MØ has quickly become one of my favorite artists.

2014 was MØ’s breakout year when she was featured on Iggy Azalea’s song “Beg For It” and Major Lazer’s song “Lean On”. I was immediately hooked by MØ’s voice, and wanted to learn more.

MØ released her debut solo album No Mythologies to Follow in 2014, but the album came out before her hits with Iggy and Major Lazer. I didn’t like the album. It was too dark and grunge. MØ’s voice sounds best on fun dance pop songs. MØ’s first solo song I loved was “Final Song”, which came out in 2016.

Hopefully MØ comes out with a new more dance pop album soon, because every song I’ve heard her on in 2017 has been an instant favorite.

I’m already calling MØ’s collaboration with Snakeships ‘Don’t Leave” one of my favorite songs of 2017. MØ has been everywhere lately. She’s got songs on Charli XCX’s new mixtape, Cashmere Cat’s new album, and some new solo songs.

I can’t wait to hear a lot more from the 28 year old Danish songstress, because MØ is one of the best up and coming singers in pop music.
