Today marks Cartoon Hangover’s worldwide launch of the very first Bravest Warriors video game, Fly Catbug Fly!
An infinite, side-scrolling, flier single player game for mobile devices (iOS and Android), Fly Catbug Fly! stars the popular cuddly Bravest Warriors character, Catbug.
Developed by Ludoko Studios for Frederator Networks, Fly Catbug Fly! features nine locations based on four episodes of the animated series Bravest Warriors, created by Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time).
While dodging obstacles players can help Catbug collect items throughout the game for Impossibear, including Catbug’s potato pal Rebecca and Sugar Peas. Players can exchange these objects for in-game money to purchase items to deck out their Catbug in fab combinations of 39 different accessories (e.g. spacesuits, leis, and eyebrows). The in-game money can be used for various game upgrades and score boosting power-ups. Ok, there are currently a ton of upgrades (each of which can be upgraded a few times), including Bravest Warriors’ Beth, Chris, Wallow or Danny – these upgrades can be used to help Catbug in the game. Secret codes can also be used to unlock upgrades earlier to assist with game play – as well as just for fun. For those of you who wanna show your Bravest Warriors friends how well (or how poorly) you are doing, you can screenshot your score page and share.
At launch Fly Catbug Fly is available at the iTunes and Google Play Store for an initial promotion offering of $.99, the game will then be available for $1.99. And guess what? No in-app purchases or upgrades. Buy once and play forever! Foreeeeeeeever!
