Fnord University proudly presents the ‘comic book-within-a-novel’ #DiscordianProblems, a trippy tale about an intrepid, falsely-accused whistle-blower named Noam D. Bloom.  This post-911 meta-fiction lures reader into a bizarre matrix of superheroes, psychedelics, quantum physics, paranoia, surveillance, and the Occult.

Presented as Bloom’s military dossier detailing the surveillance of a mysterious group of occultists known only as 'The Discord Magi’, #DiscordianProblems documents Bloom’s slow decent into madness (or his ascension into Illumination. I mean, who the hell are we to tell you how to interpret what happens to the poor guy…)

#DiscordianProblems is broken down into 5 discrete sections; ESPionage, the MindFrick comic book, Discord Magick, No One Expects the American Inquisition, and The Celebrity Discordian Menace.

Who Are We and Why The Hell Are We Bugging You?

  • We are just humble MindFrick Missionaries proselytizing on behalf of the “joke” religion Discordianism. Do you have a moment to talk about our Goddess and Muse Eris?
  • We believe there is a strong market for satirical science fiction that explores Discordian and civil-libertarian themes. Please fund this. Don’t let them immanentize the Eschaton again!

What We Need & What You’ll Get

Ok, here’s the bottom-line:

  • We need generous patrons of the language arts to help us cover the expense of graphic design, editing, typesetting, and marketing.
  • Patronage comes with perks! Depending on your level of patronage we are giving free memberships to FnordU.com, Discordian swag, e-books, signed hard copies, and more!

   Risks & Challenges

  • Not many. The final draft is complete. The MindFrick comic book is drawn, inked, and lettered too. We are just waiting on professional editing, formatting, and the book cover!
  • We just need is to pay these people (editors, graphic designers, etc)! That’s where YOU come in!

  Other Ways You Can Help

If you just can’t contribute, that doesn’t mean you can’t help! Please get the word out and make some noise about #DiscordianProblems (use the hashtag liberally in your social media feeds)!

Much gratitude to those that support starving writers & artists.

Hail Eris!
