Here’s a Play-Asia branded Wii U GameCube controller adapter ⊟
It’s at least an option if you can’t find that official one. Play-Asia’s adapter is manufactured by Mayflash and allows you to use a real GameCube controller as a Wii Classic Controller, enabling its use in Smash, Virtual Console stuff and whatever other Wii/Wii U games use those.
Plus there’s a turbo switch, why not. You can get it by itself for $14 or in a bundle with either the black or white Smash controller for $34. Why, yes, that is super dang cheap. Via MyNintendoNews.
