Play your 3DS in 2019 and beyond, you cowards ⊟
Nintendo plans to support the 3DS even longer than we expected, mentioning in its Financial Results Briefing last night that the handheld will receive new software beyond 2019. Everyone prefers to buy games on the Switch now, and 3DS software sales are receding, but I don’t care – there are rumors of rumors that a Link’s Awakening remake is in the works, so it is your duty to keep buying and playing 3DS games lest Nintendo cancels the project.
Some noticed that Nintendo’s E3 schedule that was put out tonight makes no mention of the 3DS for the company’s video presentation or Treehouse stream:
Considering all the titles and 2019/beyond plans, though, I can’t imagine we won’t see a considerable amount of time dedicated to 3DS games during Nintendo’s E3 streams. Shout-outs to Nabbit and Jordan.
