Publisher Dream, an upcoming DSiWare title that has you running a game company. You’re in charge of developing, licensing, and publishing “cShop” games in this Circle Entertainment sim — if the premise sounds familiar, that’s because Kairosoft made a splash last year with a very similar smartphone release, Game Dev Story.
A few details posted by Nintendo Life:
“You’ll be able to develop up to four games at the same time, publish games from smaller studios, and make staff happy by adopting a cat. Fans of indie games on DSiWare may also get a kick from some other developers making a cameo as employable staff: these will include Keith (Tanukii studio), Peter (Moragami), Seigai (Flyhigh work), Chris (CIRCLE) and Hugo (Goodbye Galaxy games).”
Circle Entertainment laid the groundwork for this kind of sim with Bookstore Dream a few months back, which was decent and inexpensive at 200 Points. I’m hoping the company keeps this cheap, while somehow finding ways to improve upon Game Dev Story’s formula.
