Fri 17 Nov 17: here’s a sad sight. The Quay House in Connah’s Quay is no longer a pub. Locals tell me it’s now flats and they look pretty bleak. Real shame. Plaque on the wall says it dates from 1797 so it made it’s bicentenary. I remember it as a snug one room pub which was just a pub. I guess there’s no market for such pubs anymore.
