After dental school, Dr. Swenson spent six years in the United States Army Dental Corps. The first two years were in a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Hood, Texas. His last 4 years were in Fort Irwin, California.

Dr. Francis’ foundational dental prerequisites were fulfilled right up the road at Brigham Young University. Following his time at BYU, Dr. Francis earned his DDS degree from Creighton University in 1995.
In a significant career milestone, Dr. Francis was bestowed with the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2016, a distinction only 7% of dentists nationwide hold.

To keep your teeth healthy, you need to brush them regularly. But let us offer you a step-by-step guide to the best method of brushing your teeth:
1. Choose the Right Tools:
Use a soft-bristle toothbrush to avoid damaging your gums and tooth enamel.
Select a fluoride toothpaste, which helps prevent cavities and strengthen enamel.
2. Pre-Rinse (Optional):
You can rinse your mouth with water before brushing to remove loose debris.
3. Apply Toothpaste:
Squeeze a pea-sized amount of Toothpaste onto your toothbrush.
4. Brushing Technique:
Hold your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums.
5. Brush in Sections:
Divide your mouth into sections: upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right.
Brush each area for about 30 seconds to ensure you spend enough time on each part of your mouth.
6. Brushing Motion:
Use gentle circular motions or short back-and-forth strokes.
Focus on brushing both the outer and inner surfaces of your teeth and the chewing surfaces.
Pay extra attention to the gumline, where plaque tends to accumulate.
