WHERE I HAVE BEEN 737 Maypole is a hamlet in the parish of Hoath in East Kent. My brothers and I camped in the gardens of the Prince of Wales pub during our Annual Walk in 1986. My wife and I occasionally walked in this area when we lived in Herne Bay.
