Mecina Fondales

WHERE I HAVE BEEN 739
Mecina Fondales is a municipality of La Tahá. It comprises Capilerrila, Pitres, Mecina, Mecinilla, Fondales, Ferreirila and Altalbéitar. The town hall is in Pitres. These small, pretty villages are situated high in the Sierra Nevada national park and, in particular, the Alpujarras of Granada.
Diane and I have visited this delightful area many times. However we celebrated the New Year in 2004 at Hotel de Mecina Fondales.
