This video gives some insight into how my dolls are made.
I assemble the wings from polymer clay in different colors. Its are thin, but durable and do not fade in the sun.
The moth is not stuffed, it is made on a base of dense felting sintepon and trimmed with fake fur.
Eyes and feet moth also from polymer clay. Antennae I cut out of dyed feathers.
In the abdomen I sew a magnet for easy placement of the dolls on any surface (the kit includes a metal plate with a sticky layer).
All parts are hand stitched and have strong thread fasteners, while remaining movable.
The paws bend and can take different positions, the main thing is not to overdo it)
This Rosy Maple Moth Doll is the perfect marriage of polymer clay and soft plush, handcrafted with precision and love. For insect admirers, this piece takes you beyond just collecting, straight to embodying your passion. Uniquely designed and intricately detailed, it’s not just a doll but an endearing heirloom for those who treasure the natural world.

Redesigning the Spanish Moon Moth (again)
I keep telling myself “this time it’s final,”
and then a year goes by, I sit down at my desk, and suddenly — no, it isn’t.
This is the third version of my Spanish Moon Moth.
Same doll. New wings. New proportions.
I found the wings I made back in 2020 and couldn’t believe how small they were.
I thought they were perfect at the time. But they weren’t her. Not yet.
I never aim for perfection, really. I just want the moths to feel right.
This one finally does. She’s larger, bolder, a little closer to the creature I see in my head.
Full reveal coming soon. For now — a glimpse at the wings. From then, and from now.
