Party Down (prod. John Enbom).
There’s something so oddly comforting about seeing a further washed-up Adam Scott some thirteen years later still sarcastically bartending at some random Los Angeles party for the eponymous catering company staffed by various struggling actors. Starz’s cult comedy revival still has a killer episodic premise and setup that feels sharper and more comical than ever despite its extreme bleakness.
How the sitcom uses its format to weave guest stars, topical current events, hustle culture, and just the general awfulness of cater-waiter customer service work seems to never not be fun.
