These days, with how much is done online, I often wonder when I see help wanted signs how many people actually get jobs because of those anymore. Write a scene that involves a help wanted sign. Where is the sign hanging? Is your character the one seeking the job, the one seeking help, or is there another link your character can form to the sign? What job is being offered by the sign? Is it an unusual one? What happened to the previous employee that left a space available? How long has the sign been up?
