Hello Beautiful Thinkers, 

The other day I couldn’t stop pacing. It was actually kind of annoying to have so much restless energy. But it got me thinking why people pace in the first place. Most of the time, I find myself doing it when I feel like I can’t get out of a situation. When I’m stuck at work or when I have to talk on the phone are the two most common situations where I find myself pacing. The other time I find myself pacing is when I have an idea that isn’t fully formed, but I get determined to try to figure it out. Do any of your characters have a habit of pacing? How often does she find herself pacing? What is it that makes her pace? Write a scene that features your character pacing. Is she alone? If not, does her pacing annoy the others around her?
