Day 16 in Romania after 275 days in Denmark! The purpose and meaning for this blog was initially just for myself
and a way to show some sort of narrative to my friends back home. I know
it became more than that, and that future Erasmus students from my uni
and maybe somewhere else know about it and gave it a look. When I first
became aware of that I thought “What can I write to help them?” , “What
info do they need?”. For me, mostly someone I can talk to and maybe travel/visit/gossip…a lot of gossip!
I am mostly visual so, I stuck to my
short diary entries and lots of images. For me, it helps to know the
visual to where I am going, it makes me less tense and when I get there I
get that feeling of “oh, I know this!” which, believe me, is very
comforting to have when moving by yourself in a new country.
Also, what I
did lack from my university, and probably other Romanian students lack, is
someone you can talk to. A friend back home does not know exactly
what’s going on and what you need is mostly non-academic. I am here for
anyone with questions or in need of a chat. I had Irina as a roommate. We were from the same place and that helped a lot, but it’s not always the case.
More pics from Tulcea, that funnily enough go with my text. “In need of an umbrella?”, “Don’t be alone in the cold rain, my friend!” And “God damn it, human. Put a freaking net on the window cause cats don’t fly!”
