This is Starfish Mainstage. It’s an outdoor music venue that hosts concerts for all types of music acts. The now legendary “Squid Squad” played here once, and its considered a bit of a holy site for devotees of rock music. It’s a wonder that all the ink spray doesn’t cause the equipment to short circuit, but I guess they’ve got it figured out.

This group of squid punks is the Squid Squad. They’re one of Inkopolis’s hottest acts, and their tracks can be heard as background music during many of the Inkling Turf Wars. Sadly, their shows sell out instantly and they’re always being mobbed by fans, so they don’t make public appearances very often.
This guy handles lead vocals and guitar in the Squid Squad, and he writes most of the music and lyrics, too. Welll, he never actually learned to read music, but he’s got a gift for rippin’ phat guitar riffs, and most importantly he’s got that rockstar charm to inspire the other members to greatness.
A preview of what’s to come! These are the featured Ranked Battle stages available for September. There will be eight stages available in each mode, and two out of eight stages will be playable in each two-hour rotation. Starfish Mainstage will become available as soon as the construction work is finished.

The dummer’s a bit rough around the edges. They call him wild child for a reason. This youngster’s sense of rhythm is uncanny, and when it matters most, his sticks are always there to lead the way with a wicked beat barrage. He really gives his all on stage—if you look closely you might catch him weeping during a drum solo.
Reports are in that a new Charger will hit Ammo Knights tonight. The Bamboozler 14 Mk I has a biodegradable look to it: we hear that it’s a tribute to a legendary squid squad leader (a leader who must have been very fearsome indeed!). Because of its unique design, this weapon can’t actually store a charge…but it does have a good rate of fire and decent mobility when fully charged. The kit also comes with Curling Bombs and Tenta Missiles to round things out.

Meet Diss-Pair, the odd-couple duo delivering discordant ditties that have turned the music scene upside down. The group is made up of Ikkan, former bassist of the world-renowned Squid Squad, and Warabi, the up-and-coming prodigy beatsmith. These two are a mismatch made in heaven. When crafting new songs in the studio, they avoid each other at all costs to ensure each track maintains its one-of-a-kind edge and tantalizing tension.
After that intro, I’ll bet you can’t wait to hear their first song, Seasick. This little number features the hard-rocking riffs and heavy metal vocals that Ikkan sometimes used in the Squid Squad’s songs. Listen as the electric rhythms stitch their threads between the driving bass beats in this banging battle backdrop.
Classic main weapons appear viable in the Splatlands, although their appearance seems evolved to suit this unique culture. The .96 Gal and Range Blaster look markedly different than we’re used to, which will seemingly make them stand out more from other weapons of the same type.
