This was irresponsible, stupid even… and yet here you were, following the orders of an anonymous text message that directed you to meet said mystery person at a very fancy restaurant at seven o’clock sharp.

You arrived early to scope the place out, not being familiar with such high-living as your hunter life rarely afforded you such luxury. The place seemed busy, lots of witnesses, and you were sure whom ever sent the message wouldn’t try anything with that many people around.

Bracing yourself and squaring your shoulders, you walked in through the door, pausing a moment to scan the place. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but it suddenly struck you that you had no idea who you were looking for.

A shrill noise from your phone alerted you to a text message.

‘At the bar’ it read.

You meandered through the tables, scoping out expensive looking dishes that people were enjoying, and headed towards the bar and the back. Your eyes focused on the only occupant as you subconsciously felt around for your gun, making sure it was still tucked into the back of your pants in case it were needed.

When you got close enough, the figure turned to look at you, expression softening and cheeky smile spreading across his face.

“You asshole” you nearly sobbed, running into him hard enough that you nearly knocked him off his stool as you threw your arms around his shoulders.

“Well, that’s certainly not the greeting I was expecting” Crowley teased back at you, slipping his arms around your waist.

“I thought you were dead, you jackass!” you nearly shrieked, unable to keep a few of the tears from slipping from your eyes, causing anyone near by to turn at look at you with disgust at your outburst. You hardly paid them any mind as you leaned back from Crowley and gave him a rough swat to the arm.

“All parlor tricks, darling. I’m afraid you can’t get rid of me that easily” he assured, pulling you back into his embrace.

His confident exterior aside, there was a desperation in his touch, a feeling that told you that you weren’t the only one who was afraid that we wouldn’t make it back. Regardless of whatever happened, he was back now, and that was all that mattered.
