FORCE BOND PHYSICAL EVIDENCE: Invasion of the minds
There are a lot of Reylo metas proving the Force Bond between Rey and Kylo Ren but I thought I’d add in some physical evidence in the mix. While others have given evidence in terms of Rey’s fighting style that was similar to Kylo’s, mine will be the moment she actually tapped into his brain for that knowledge.
In the above GIF, I made a split screen of the time that Rey and Kylo Ren shared eerily similar facial expressions
The one of the left is from the interrogation room, during Kylo Ren’s first truly invasive probe into Rey’s mind for the droid info, and this was right before he said “Don’t be afraid, I feel it too.”
The one on the right is of Kylo Ren, during the time he and Rey had their lightsabers locked.
Kylo Ren’s expression is particularly interesting. If you watch the movie again, you’ll notice that he was calm and collected when he had the upper hand during the duel. It was only after Rey closed her eyes and concentrated that his expression suddenly changed. It wasn’t like he was struggling to hold the lightsaber against her, no. He was stronger than her physically, and she wasn’t struggling as much at this point. So why make that face?
Because at that point, Rey had invaded his mind, and from there, got the fighting skills—Kylo Ren’s fighting skills—which she used to win the duel. As already stated in several theories, Rey DID NOT suddenly gain Jedi mastery. She simply used her and Kylo Ren’s force bond and tapped into HIS knowledge to defeat him at his own game. (recall Daisy’s little slip up when she said she and Kylo were tapping into the force during the lightsaber duel)
Some may chuck this out to coincidence but I don’t think so. Actors are all about emotions and expressions. I believe Adam and Daisy were specifically instructed to show this same expression. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Adam was shown a clip of Daisy in the interrogation room and told to mirror that same expression.
