Negan and Rain.

Agreeing to be one of Negans wives was something you did in the spur of the moment. Your home had just been invaded by walkers and you had nowhere else to go. Negan came across this as it happened and saved you, taking you in. You weren’t at all prepared for this life. Your anxiety always made your life more difficult and it only got worse after the apocalypse. You just didn’t want to be alone.

Negan looked over at you in the car as you looked out the window fidgeting with your hands. The speed of your heart beat would continue to rise each time you saw a walker and Negan noticed this.
“Hey.” Negan placed his hand on your thigh making you suddenly scream.
“Woah easy sweetheart, I don’t bite.” He chuckled as inappropriate thoughts crossed his mind. As they always did. You ignored his words too nervous to hold a conversation. You were thinking about the new place you were going to live in, the new people you’d meet. You weren’t good with new people so you weren’t looking forward to this at all.
“Lighten up, Rain. Your alive and you’re coming with me, I think that’s a fucking pretty sweet deal.” Negan grinned staring down the road and soon stopped in front of a large door. You took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. Negan led you inside and you immediately got stares from all the people and quickly put your head down.
“Just take me to your room please.” You whispered making Negan smirk.
“Just how I like it, wants to get right down to business.” He whispered before taking your hand and leading you to his bedroom.

You crossed your arms looking around the room nervously as he took off his jacket and threw it on the bed. You stopped at the window, taking a look at all the people outside when Negan hugged you from behind kissing your shoulder. You didn’t want to have sex with him, you didn’t want any of this. You just didn’t want to be by yourself, not again.
“Negan..” You whispered turning around.
“I’m…-what do we do now..? I’m.. scared..” You muttered feeling stupid for telling him this. He didn’t know you and you knew he wouldn’t care.
“I can take care of that darling.” He grinned before he began kissing your neck. You weren’t enjoying it, he was a good looking man, but your worries got the best of you.
“Negan stop..” You whispered trying to push him off.
“Why? I thought you wanted to feel better.” He chuckled kissing you again moving his hands all over your body.
“Stop it.” You whispered pushing him off.
“Just stop!” You screamed and broke down crying. Negan backed away looking down at you surprised realizing how upset you actually were.
“I don’t wanna do this. I don’t wanna be your stupid wife. I just-” you continued to sob hiding your face in your hands. Negan looked down at you with pity. He realized you were just a frightened woman who didn’t want to be alone and he didn’t want to take advantage of that. He gently took hold of your arm making you pull back and turn away.
“Come here, I’m not gonna do anything.”
For the first time you heard sincerity in his voice as he gently pulled you back to him and hugged you.
You cried against his chest feeling so lost and afraid.
“Please don’t make me go now.” you whispered expecting him to let you go since you did not keep your side of the deal.
“You’re not going anywhere. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.” He muttered with his head resting on yours. This was the first time Negan made an exception to a woman staying with him gaining nothing in return. But there was something about you he could not put his finger on. Something that just felt right.
You stayed silent against him slowly feeling calmer when you heard the door open. In walked 2 half naked women who you expected to be his other wives. Immediately they gave you a dirty look watching the way Negan held you. They had never seen him that way before.
“Get out.” Negan spoke bluntly turning away from them.
“But Negan-”
“I said out!” He yelled still holding you against him. The women walked out angrily already not liking you and you could tell.

“Well they hate me.” You chuckled wiping the tears you had off your face. Negan smiled seeing you smile for the first time, he liked it.
“Don’t worry about them.”
“Yeah.” You looked to the side looking out the window as Negan stayed staring at you. He couldn’t stop staring at the beauty you had.
“So what now?” You asked turning back to him.
“You stay here, with me.” He looked back at his king size bed then looked back down at you.
“Don’t worry, I won’t do shit.”
You knew he meant it.
“I just don’t want to sleep alone.”
“You won’t.”

Negans wives were outside the door hearing everything that was said.
“Since when the hell does Negan let any of us sleep in his room?” One of the girls complained.
“Yeah. And since when has he ever held us the way he held that bitch.” The other girl rolled her eyes crossing her arms.
“Good thing is…she looks weak. She’ll be easy to scare off.”
The two of them laughed coming up with a plan to get you away.

You felt a little calmer as the day went by. Negan helped you feel safe and comfortable. He left you in his room to get some rest and went to take care of some things with his men close by.

Negans wives made sure he was busy and you were asleep before starting their plan. One of the girls led a walker inside the compound without anyone seeing and bought it into Negans home. They giggled and laughed quietly making their way into the house and opened his bedroom door to find you peacefully sleeping.
“Look at her.” One of the girls scoffed annoyed at the sight of you. They made sure to remove any weapons around you before they started and let the walker lose in the room before locking your door shut.

The walker roamed around the room loudly making you slowly wake up. You were confused with what was going on when you saw the walker across the room. You screamed jumping off the bed and running for the door only to find it locked.
“Negan! Negan!” You screamed slamming your hands on the door in a panic. The walker turned your way and quickly began making its way to you. You screamed in a panic looking around the room for some sort of weapon but found nothing. You threw things that it slowing it down but knew it wasn’t enough.
“Negan!” You cried running to the window but you couldn’t get it open.

Negans wives laughed outside the door of the house hearing you scream before they lit a flame that slowly began burning the house.

Negan stepped outside finishing talking with his men in the middle of laughter when he suddenly heard you scream. He looked up to see his house in flames and pushed his men out of the way running towards it.

He found the two girls laughing as they heard your screams from inside.
“Move!” He roared going to the window to find you trapped inside with a walker.
“Negan!” You cried trying to push the walker away.
“Rain!” His eyes widened in shock before he pulled out his gun and shot at the window. You flinched as he broke the rest of the glass with his shoulder.
“Come here!” Negan yelled reaching his hand out to you. You quickly took a hold of it as he pulled you out of the window when the walker suddenly took hold of your leg.
“No!” You screamed as the shards of glass around the window ripped your shirt and cut you. You cried in pain as Negan bit his bottom lip using all his strength to pick you up and get you out. The two of you fell to the floor holding on tightly to each other as his men began putting out the fire. You cried shaking and hyperventilating.
“I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe..” You gasped in a panic holding on to your chest. You hadn’t had an anxiety attack like this in so long, it was all too much. This triggered what felt like a melt down.
“Hey, look at me. Look at me.” Negan spoke calmly and put his hand over yours on your chest.
“Breathe.” He took a deep breath locking eyes with you. You followed as he did still shaking but slowly being able to breathe better. You cried putting your arms around him not sure of what the hell just happened.
“It almost got me.” You whispered in tears.
“I wasn’t gonna let that happen.” Negan responded as the two girls silently watched in disappointment. It wasn’t fun for them any longer watching Negan save and comfort you. That’s when Negan looked up at them in disgust in anger. He knew it was them. He silently picked up the gun while holding you close to him with his other arm and pointed it at the them. The girls cried taking a step back before Negan quickly shot them both in the head. You screamed jumping in Negans arms to turn and find their lifeless bodies on the ground.
“Oh god..” You gasped.
“Don’t look at that shit.” Negan muttered making you quickly turn back.
“Shit..” He muttered looking down and noticed your shirt all cut up with blood.
“They did this?” You whispered looking up at him with confusion. He nodded his head and cursed at himself.
“I shouldn’t have fucking left you alone.” He muttered watching as all the flames went out.

It was dark out now, Negan had your wound cleaned up and bought you to another part of the compound.
“We’ll be staying here.” He led you inside the small bedroom as you stood close to him.
“This ok?”
“Yes.” You nodded.
“Just please don’t leave me alone.” You whispered as he caressed your cheek.
“I won’t.”
Negan went on to get comfortable and watched as you ran to the door quickly locking it. You went over the locks twice making sure it was secure. You didn’t trust anyone. He didn’t have to know you too long to hate seeing you like this. He could tell you were a sweet innocent woman.
“Come on, let’s get some sleep.” You turned to find Negan shirtless standing at the end of the bed.
“Come.” He repeated reaching his hand out to you. You slowly walked towards him and took his hand as you both got on the bed. He reached over turning off the lights and it freaked you out.
“No! Leave the lights on. Please leave them on.” You were tired of always having to have been the dark by yourself.
“Alright, don’t worry.” He switched them back on before turning to you. He could tell you were nervous as he placed his arms around you.
“Get some sleep.” He whispered.
“You think the doors secure?” You asked worriedly.
“It’s locked.” He responded but you couldn’t stop thinking what if. What if someone could get in, what if the lock was broken?
“I..I just wanna check real quick.” You sat up about to get off the bed but Negan pulled you back.
“Nobody’s getting in here, Rain.”
You looked up at the door then back down at him with big worried eyes. You were too afraid to just fall asleep.
“What, you don’t think I can keep you safe?” He asked with humor in his voice trying to make you crack a smile.
“You have no fucking idea what I’ve done darling, no ones fucking with us.” He pulled you down to him and you finally stay put, cuddling up against him.
“What have you done…?” You couldn’t help but ask him. He took a deep breath staring up at the ceiling.
“We’ll leave that for another time, sweetheart.”
You felt his leg brush up against yours. You liked the feel of his body touching yours, it calmed you down so you moved closer. He looked down and smiled noticing you were becoming more comfortable with him.
“Negan..” You looked up at and caught him staring at you.
“Mhm?” His eyes drifted down to your lips, they were so close to him.
“I just wanted to say thank you.”
He cupped your face with his hand, caressing you gently with his thumb before pulling you down for a soft kiss. You froze for a moment not expecting him to have done that, but you liked it. You kissed him back before he slowly pulled away and smiled at the sight of you. You smiled in return and put your head down on his chest before closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep.
