Stranger Things - micro review (mild spoilers!) :

Definitely an engaging show with amazing child actor performances (all the kids were fantastic, and I want my future kids to be Dustin omg)

Some moments had pretty awful cgi (the deer scene anyone??)

BARB YOU WERE ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS WHY DID THEY TREAT YOU SO T-T

Why is her name Eleven I’ve been asking this for 8 goddamn hours

Three teens using stuff from home depot wounded a monster more than 30+ guys with machine guns? pfff

WHY ARE ALL THE PARENTS EXCEPT FOR JOYCE SO GOD AWFUL??? Mike’s mom and dad literally don’t give two shits about their kids

SERIOUSLY DOES NO ONE CARE ABOUT BARB????

There’s something just so wonderful in the aesthetic of a little girl in a pink dress being incredibly OP and knockin down bad guys left and right.

Steve redemption made me happy :)

And now for a more serious critique; the show was pretty entertaining with a few flaws here and there, but I’m kind of worried about a season two. I think this season felt a lot like a season of American Horror Story; a single story where even if not everyone gets a happy ending, the end of the season really feels like the end of the story. I would have found it more interesting if Stranger Things went with the same formula and given a season 2 would give us a new sci fi - fantasy story…but it seems like the creators are intent on expanding the same season 1 story. Which idk, what do I know, might work out great, but currently I have my doubts. But I guess we’ll see!

ALSO SERIOUSLY BARB WAS THE BEST GUYS
