“Hello there, stranger!” Peter sat next to you and put his hand out to shake. 

“Peter, what are you doing?” You giggled, placing your hand in his. He cocked his head to the side and stared at you weirdly. 

“How do you know my name?” You giggled again and leant against him as he continued his act. You looked up at him and he smiled back at you.

“I love you,” You said, meaning it. You held onto his hand tighter and continued. “I love how you saved me when I had no one. When you cheer me up when no one else can. When you kiss me and I feel fireworks.”

“I love you more,” Peter said, staring at you intensely with emotion behind his eyes. It was pure, raw adoration and love. In that moment you knew, you didn’t want to be anywhere else other than with Peter Quill, in his ship, in space.

And that was okay because it was perfect.

Because you loved each other.
