“You’re a good girl Y/n. You’re a well behaved child and your parents are lucky to have you.” Was what you constantly heard as a child. Still when you went to the Star Fleet Academy you were told how well behaved and disciplined you were. It was a stuck record and you didn’t know how to get out of it. What you didn’t understand was that you were rebellious, you’d taken drugs and drank until you couldn’t stand. Had one night stands and kissed girls and boys on the same night. You just didn’t do it all the time and gave in your homework on time, which ‘apparently’ meant that you could do no wrong.

People always labelled you as a goody two shoes even though your friends knew you could have a real short fuse. You were just able to control yourself in a respectful way to your lectures’. Which some of your peers didn’t seem able to do. Jim Kirk was one of these. You admired his ability to be spectacularly intelligent and at the same time a complete idiot who wasted his time. It had almost become a goal of yours to have the image he did. People knew he was a playboy who didn’t do as he was supposed to and slept with a different girl each night. But he also aced every test and was top of most of his classes. Saying you envied Jim Kirk was a massive understatement.

But lately, weirdly enough, he’d been talking to you a lot because of Gaila. She kept inviting him round and then leaving so you two were just together in your shared dorm. He’s never tried anything and you appreciated that he didn’t have to be as nice as he was. You at school wasn’t exactly the company he wanted. You were usually revising for something and he’s often help you with that. But recently he’d been coming round off his own volition which was strange

.“Y/n? Earth to Y/n?” Gaila clicked in front of your face and you smiled at her. “God. Who were you dreaming about this time?”

“Not dreaming. Admiring. Jim Kirk.” You took another shot and pushed your hair back.

“Really… interesting.” Gaila smirked mischievously. “You stay here. I’ve just got to call someone.”

“Gaila I-” You called after her, her auburn locks bounced as she walked away. You rolled your eyes. “Two more please.” You called at the barman, about to put some money down when a note was put beside you.

“Never thought I’d see you here.” He sat next to you, Jim Kirk and his stupidly perfect face.

“Didn’t think you’d come talk to me if it wasn’t about an assignment.” You smirked and pushed the money further onto the bar.

“Hey! I’ve asked you about other things maybe…. once.” He laughed lightly and you raised an eyebrow. “Okay maybe I haven’t. But you are very interesting.”

“Jim Kirk calling me interesting. Well I do feel privileged.” You remarked sarcastically and Jim rolled his eyes.

“Shut up.” He muttered with a smile.

“Why are you talking to me?” You questioned with a furrowed brow.

“I like talking to you. Am I allowed to just talk to you?” He bit his lip slightly and you stupidly blushed. “I think that answers everything. I am irresistible and I you know it.”

“Of course.” You shook your head with a smile. Turning around to see Gaila dancing, again.

“She never stops does she.” Kirk observed and you smiled fondly at your friend.

“I don’t ever want her too. She hasn’t realised how bad life can be yet.” You leant against the bar and glanced at Jim Kirk for a moment.

“I want to stop sometimes. But then something else comes around the corner and I can’t help but run after it in hope for excitement.” He paused. “I’m like that with women. But I just want to stop. Find myself a nice girl, one who won’t cheat on me or use me for my name.” Jim looked you dead in the face.

“Then why are you talking to me? I’m just like those other girls. I do bad things as well. I’m hardly a prude and I hardly ever hold back when it comes to drinking.” Your heart was beating double time.

“I know and yet, I can’t stop thinking about you.” Jim put a hand on yours and you stared at him with an eyebrow raised.

    “What?”

“You know. Can’t stop thinking about this one girl. I haven’t slept with anyone for the last month because all I want to do is talk to you. I don’t want to be in bed with anyone else because I just see your face in my head every time I get close to it.” Jim smiled to himself and you looked at him with wide eyes.

“What?” You asked again and Kirk laughed.

“You’re really not a very clever person for someone who’s top of all her classes.” Jim joked and you narrowed your eyes at him. But it made no effect because you were still blushing.

“This isn’t exactly the type of test I’d be prepared for is it.” You had a small smile on your lips and looked down in embarrassment at yourself.

“You’re cute when you blush.” Jim stroked your finger and then linked his with yours. “Come on.” He pulled you through the dancers. You passed Gaila and she cheered you both with a huge smile.

    “Everyone’s looking.” You whispered.

“I know. I love it!” Jim gripped your hand tighter and pulled you through the doors that lead outside.

“I didn’t realise how loud it was in there until I was out here.” You looked up at the stars and smiled. Jim looked at you as you gazed at the stars, completely content.

“I know I’m not what you’d probably look for-”

“I mean not ever.” You laughed.

“But. Promise that I’ll stop being a complete cocky dick if you agree to go out with me a few times.” He kept hold of your hand and squeezed it. “I’ve been looking for a girl who’s better for me. Not one of those stupidly short romances that amount to nothing in the end.”

“What says to you that I’m not one of those girls?”

“I’ve got a feeling.” Jim kissed you on the cheek.

“Well. Your feelings are not exact. I’m not as holy as you seem to hope.” You raised and eyebrow and Jim looked excited.

“Well that’s fine by me.” Jim pulled you round the side of the building and leant on the wall. Holding onto the sides of your shirt he pulled you closer to him.

“Will you take me with you on your ship when you get it?” You teased. Knowing that that was impossible to guarantee these days.

“Sure. Why not? I can try.” Kirk pulled you even closer to him and you had to put your legs either side of his. One hand on his chest, the other on his face.

“You seem to make me feel marginally better Jim Kirk.” You paused with a smile. “Only slightly but enough.”

“Shut your mouth foul beast!” He yelled and you looked offended. “That happens to also be the most beautiful beast I have. We laid eyes upon in all my days.”

    “You shut up.” You muttered.

“Hey moody. Come back to mine. Bones won’t mind too much.” He wrapped his arms around your waist and you looked at him, stroking your thumb gently over his cheek.

“You sure? Bones doesn’t seem to like me.” You frowned.

“Oh. He doesn’t like anyone.” Jim rolled his eyes.

“Alright then. I’m willing to risk it.”

“Sure about that? Bones can be quite fierce when he wants to be.” Jim joked and you raised an eyebrow.

“I’m sure he’s enjoyable company when he’s drunk.” You laughed.

“Come here.” Jim pulled your face up to his and looked at you before pressing his lips to yours. Running a hand up from your waist to your neck and the other hand held your face. You leant one hand on the wall and pushed your body closer to his.

“I don’t want to do this in an alley.” You whispered near his ear before kissing his neck.

“Come on then.” Jim walked to the road and hailed a cab.

You both got in and after telling the driver where, you turned Jim’s face and kissed him feverishly. Swiftly running your hand into his pants. He stopped your hand and laughed.

“I thought you were a Good Girl?” You rolled your eyes and Jim kissed you again but slower.
