Help, Divine Grace Internally and Externally
“He may grant to the initiated person internal and external experiences and change his condition soon (provided he is a true adhikari* of a superior grade), i.e. He may grant him some love, or if he is an adhikari* of an average or lower grade, He may make it possible for him to attend satsang externally and engage in [meditation] practices internally, thus gradually changing his condition. At both of these levels however, it is necessary and desirable for the initiated person to have full faith in the Holy Feet of the Supreme Being Merciful Radhasoami and to depend entirely on His Grace. If he does so, he would in all circumstances get support internally and externally, and whenever his mind becomes indifferent towards the Sant Satguru or Sadh Guru, Merciful Radhasoami would help him at that time, provided he continues the path of His bani** and the internal [meditation] practices, i.e. Bhajan and Dhyan.” (Huzur Maharaj Rai Saligram Bahadur, Radhasoami Mat Updesh)
*Note: Adhikari: “It is believed that a person is moved by a desire for ‘paramartha’ [spirituality] only when their 'samskaras’ [impressions] are favorable. As a person’s samskaras determine the circumstances of his or her life, their physical and intellectual qualities, attitudes and aspirations, etc…, etc…, their desires and abilities are in a way determined by samskaras. The word 'adhikara’ signifies that one with 'adhikara’ for paramartha is physically, intellectually and by their desires, aspirations, samskaras, etc…, fit and willing to engage in activities pertaining to paramartha. One who possesses such adhikara is an adhikari.”
