Left broken and bruised in the rubble of Cairo, he's assumed dead by all and with nothing but the cruel whispers of the Archangel to drive his anger, thanks to the deathseed, he's out for vengeance wherever he can act on it.

He holds no ties to anyone anymore. the 'God' that gifted him with his new wings is gone and those that were his fellow horsemen have since gone their own ways leaving the Archangel to wander aimlessly about the world. no doubt he will face troubles with those recognising him from his previous affiliation...

At a vulnerable moment in life, what if the tables had been turned? What if he was found before Apocalypse could reach out to recruit him? The verse follows the idea that in his time of need, a kinder soul reached out to him and he found a home in Xavier's school.

given that his wings are damaged, he is of no use in fight in Cairo and he must slowly repair the damage that has been done. naturally there is a struggle. he holds grudges and seeks comfort in the form of a bottle.

there is also the difficult choice to be made: in order for his wings to fully recover. he will have to cut it completely off and allow it to regrow. something he has vowed never to do again since he was a child.

The battle of Cairo leaves the Angel, once again, in ruin but fate may be kind to those in need as the X-Men take in this unconcious and damaged boy, giving him time to rest and heal.

His wings suffered a lot from the impact of the crash but are not rendered completely useless.

    -- now this verse can break off into two different ways where Erik may use his abilities to bend what is needed in Warren's metal wings, or Warren is left to allow the metal to molt from him over time and reveal his original feathered ones

Regardless of the outcome of his wings, Warren will NOT be a friendly soul at first. when he awakens, he will confine in solitude and liqour bottles-- refusing to open up to students and teachers alike. he will be very stubborn and rude, lashing out irrationally at anyone.

only time and patience from those around him will heal the mental and emotional damage Warren has gone through before he is finally willing to officially become a member of the X-Men

Once again, Warren is left without a friend in the world but in this instance, no one comes for him and his involvement with any events that take place in XMA never occur, leaving him to drown in alcohol and self pity and whomever may find him in this state.

AGE :: 7-11

Born with peculiar limbs extending out of his back, a doctor was sworn to secrecy by Warren’s mother as he operated to remove them as soon as possible without his father’s knowledge on this IMPERFECTION. thus began a vicious cycle as the wings would return every time. it was decided that they must be allowed to grow out for less traumatic removal each time. eventually, Warren’s father found out that his son was a monster and he was never made to feel like a valued member of the family.

it was a pained upbringing with Warren locked away most days when he wasn’t fresh off the surgery table. though he felt comfort and kindness from his mother, she never stood up for him the way he needed a mother to be there.

AGE :: 12-16

Once old enough, Warren is sent off to boarding school ( where his father will no longer have to look at him ) appointments are still booked monthly and Warren wears straps to confine what little may grow in that time. his upbringing has led his attitude to develop into a sour one. he is a handful to both staff and fellow pupils. so many walls built up at such a young age to protect himself from being labelled as the freak he declared himself as. Warren lashes out at any chance. angered and misunderstood by all.

it is during this time that the events of DOFP take place and Warren feels a tiny shred of hope for the first time in his life. just knowing there’s others just like him. he writes to his parents in the hope that he would be accepted more but is only met by more appointment scheduled to remove his wings.

no more. he’d decided he would let them grow —- and in good timing too. not long after that, the school caught fire and Warren was forced to reveal his true abilities to rescue those trapped inside. he is not met by praise or thanks, however —- - only hatred as he’s chased away from the school.

it was time he started over…

AGE :: 16-18

He finds himself travelling from city to city in Europe, taking to the skies for the first time to get around. he has a long way to go before he can truly get used to flying but once his wings are fully grown for the first time in his life—- - he’s never felt more alive.

oh, what a wonderful experience that was cut short too soon. he’d attracted far too much attention to himself from mutant haters and ended up being chased from town to town. he stole whatever he needed to get by and only travelled at night.

he did odd jobs where he could and picked up some terrible habits from less than friendly crowds and fell into a self destructive pattern. he only cared for himself seeing as no one else would and that was how he liked it.

Growing up without the issues of mutant hate does not mean it has been smooth sailing for Warren. though he grew up in a very privileged household --- Warren craves the freedom from it all. he was expected to follow a pre-set plan. his life already mapped out for him and he would have no say in the matter. needless to say, Warren was not particularly thrilled with spending his days down at the country club listening to the pointless dribble for the rest of his days and taking over his family company.

He rebelled from a young age, lashing out at his parents and refusing to conform to their ideals. There was a growing hatred for his father who only paid attention to his son when he needed to be repremanded.

As soon as he was of age, he left his family behind and travelled through Europe, doing odd jobs to get by before eventually making his way to America...

Warren's attitude is a pitiful and embarrassing one to his family. He sucessfully got expelled from his boarding school and his father was so humiliated by the impact on his reputation that his only son and heir to his fortune caused, he sent him away to America.

His family needed the fresh start in a community of rich snobs, so sent him to another boarding school but the pattern soon became reoccuring and they opted to send him to a public school instead.

Warren is closed off, aggressive and downright grouchy-- - perhaps aggravating school rules on purpose to be removed just to spite his family. He's a loner, keeping to himself and plenty of rumours fly around the various schools he is transferred to over what kind of person he is...

History:

Born into a rich, pureblood family and raised under certain idealists. Warren is cruel and quick to judge those of a lesser blood status. he comes from a family that stemmed from the roots of being a Slytherin so it’s only natural that they assume Warren will too.

such turns out to not be the case as the sorting hat announces him to Gryffindor and he is dubbed the Slytherin reject. the majority of Gryffindors know his family history and hold distaste to him ( a feeling that Warren reciprocates given his prejudice upbringing ) and the Slytherins wont even consider the thought of befriending a Gryffindor ━━━━ thus, Warren feels isolated.

he finds solace, however, in his one true passion : Quidditch. he’s a natural born flyer, assuming the role of a chaser when he makes the Gryffindor team.

born into a muggle family in England, Warren knew firsthand the frustrations of having to hide in the shadows with his magic. he attended Hogwarts and enjoyed it as much as any other student. but at the end of the year, he would have to return home to his muggle family where no talk of magic was allowed and some none-too-friendly words are used by his own father to make him feel like an outcast.

once of age, Warren makes his way to the states after roaming Europe as finding himself swayed by the idealism that Grindelwald has proposed through his various attacks to expose magic to the world. Warren too finds it unfair that those possessing magical abilities should be forced to keep it a secret.
