Cameron: talk to me Betty
Kirsten: yes, Jughead, I hear you
Who would’ve known that my otp would be referencing another one to come in the future. That’s right #bughead was mentioned in Stitchers and its my favorite thing.

Realized I didn’t post a few fics on tumblr… so starting with this one :)
Summary: After being stood up by Camille and Linus, Cameron and Kirsten enjoy a picnic in the park. Camsten, one-shot. Prompt: Camsten + Picnic
“Good work everyone. Take the rest of the day off,” Maggie announced. They had just finished up a case, and no one would argue with her giving them an early start to their weekend.
Kirsten and Cameron were at his desk, getting ready to leave. “Do you want to come over?,” he offered. They had been hanging out more often on weekends, since Camille and Linus had been enjoying each other’s company most nights. Kirsten would never admit it to him, but she was glad she could spend time with Cameron at his place… the walls at her house were thin and it left little to the imagination whenever Linus was over.
“Yeah, sure,” she answered with a small smile. They both turned from his desk to go towards the elevator.
“Wait!,” they heard. Camille was rushing over to them, with Linus in tow behind her. “Since we have the afternoon off, and it is a nice sunny day in Los Angeles, why don’t we all go for a picnic?” Camille beamed at them, giving a look that was both simultaneously inviting and ‘you’re coming whether you like it or not.’ “I mean, why waste this wonderful day, right?”
Cameron glanced at Kirsten, giving her his best plea look, hoping she would catch on. She saw his look, but knew better than to argue with Camille when she wanted to do something. She simply shrugged, giving Cameron an apologetic expression.
“Great!,” Camille exclaimed. “We’ll call in an order to the deli, you two pick it up, and we’ll get the wine and meet you at the park. Usual place in an hour?”
“Sure,” Cameron answered for them.

“They’re late,” Kirsten said for the third time.
“Why don’t we give them five more minutes, and then we’ll text them again,” Cameron said. He looked at his phone, 2:15pm. They were already fifteen minutes later than they said. At least they had the decency to pay for the food when they called it in. Cameron and Kirsten had the common sense to buy a few drinks, just in case. And it looks like that paid off, since Kirsten just opened her iced tea and took a sip.
They had set down the spare blanket that Cameron had left in his trunk for occasions such as this, in their usual spot which was back against the tree line overlooking the grassy meadow and a small pond in the distance. They all enjoyed people watching and taking guesses on what conversations were going on around them.

The way Betty sees it, she has three options.
Summary: Since when did Kirsten cuddle? If this was a dream, he wasn’t sure he wanted to wake up. Camsten, one-shot.
Idea from that photo currently circulating on tumblr. More angst than I intended, but there’s fluff too!
…
Kirsten was fast asleep, curled into Cameron’s side. He doesn’t quite know how they got to this point. Only that it started the night he came home.
…
Cameron was finally resting at home, enjoying a little bit of peace and quiet.
The afternoon was a blur. Cameron had finally been released from Ayo’s care earlier that day, after being kept under observation for three days after his brief coma following his “death.” Well, brief wasn’t quite the word that Kirsten would use. She reminded him, on three different occasions, that he was in a coma for fifteen hours and twenty-three minutes. She was there for all of it, and the three days after that.
Working on posting stories to tumblr. But I wrote this a while ago.
Read on AO3 or FF. I also wrote a follow up story: Red Wine and Cupcakes. But as most of my one shots, they can be stand alone. One day I’ll work on Part 3 of this series ;)
Summary: Set after Episode 1x10. Kirsten tries to process the aftermath of what Cameron had done for her. Camsten. One-shot.
~Kirsten’s POV~
“Cameron!!,” I shrieked. I didn’t even recognize my own voice in that moment. All I could focus on was Cameron.
I didn’t know… I didn’t know. Why didn’t he tell me?
Ayo was shocking him again, his body lifting off the table briefly. He was still flat lining.
“Cameron, please wake up.” My voice was barely a whisper. “Cameron.”
Another shock.
“Cameron,” I said, forcing my voice to be louder. “Don’t you dare leave me.”
Ayo shocked him again, and someone else gave him another shot of adrenaline. People were talking, but it felt like they were muffled and far away. The only sound I heard in perfect clarity was the constant buzzing of the heart monitor, Cameron was still flat lining. Logically I knew that every second that passed reduced his chances of being revived. The four minutes had come and gone, and he wasn’t back.
And another shock. No response.
Why did he have to be so reckless as to kill himself? I should have prevented him from doing that. I wanted to trust him, I really did. The sheer fact that he was willing to kill himself made me trust him, completely.
“Want to know how you can believe me? This is how.”
But I didn’t get a chance to tell him that I trusted him, before he injected himself. He wanted me to find what we needed for the case. And that’s what I did, or tried to do.
I couldn’t even see the license plate in his memory, so his efforts were wasted. And now I might lose him too. Just like everyone else I had cared about. My mother, Ed, and my father abandoning me. Now Cameron.
“I need to keep you safe. Do not… not do this.”
He wanted to keep me safe, but he wasn’t here to protect me anymore. Technically I had already lost him, technically he was dead. But this time was completely different. I didn’t want him to die. It didn’t feel like he’s always been dead. I felt it, the heart wrenching pain in my chest.
“Is this what love is? Intense connection and then heartbreaking loss.”
I relived his memories from the stitch. I felt the longing and happiness every time I was around, protection every time I went into a stitch or out in the field, jealousy and pure heartbreak when I kissed Liam, hopeful when we were talking on the porch. Love. That was what surrounded every single memory he had of me, even the smallest hint of it when we first met as children and my first day in the stitch lab. But I didn’t know. He didn’t tell me. And now he would never get the chance. I wouldn’t get to ask him about it.
Ayo shocked him again. I heard it. A faint heart beat on the monitor.
