Suit Up - Excerpt from - Purgatory, Robot City by AOGRAI on DeviantArt
Once the craft started speeding towards their destination, Sierra opened the briefcase. Inside was a white suit which Sheen had specially tagged with Sierra’s DNA. Sheen and Anya too had similar briefcases holding their DNA tagged suits housed above their seats.
Both Sheen and Anya rose from their seats respectively and started to strip off their clothes. The suit needed to be in direct contact with the wearer’s skin to operate at optimum level. While Sheen had a body of a teen, Anya was tall and well-endowed. Sheen noticed Sierra staring at them, and answered her unspoken query, “Don’t worry, this hold has a magna-equilibrium sensor that prevents excessive inertial force.”
Anya added, “…so you can stand and change and move with ease without feeling the carrier’s excessive manoeuvres and accelerations.”
“Much like artificial gravitational field on spaceships?” Sierra surmised.
Sheen smiled and replied, “I guess you can say that.”
Sierra in turn stripped of her clothes and slipped into the white suit which fitted her like a glove. To test the suit, Sierra began with a series of extreme stretches and it managed with ease. A touch of a hidden button in her collar brought out the menu at the suit’s left wrist area. Sliding her finger over the menu enabled her to cycle through the various options. There was one where she could increase comfort level via the suit’s thermal maintenance. However, that was the least of her concerns; she continued flipping through the rest of the suit’s offensive and defensive programs. Sierra was impressed with what it could do tactically. The suit could not only enhance her strength but also accelerate her movement and inject serums to counteract stamina fatigue or even reduce heartrate or breathing with higher efficiency by monitoring oxygen levels. Cool, she thought.
