Payments are made through Paypal (or we can arrange something via Ko-Fi) and must be made upfront. For full illustrations (the $25/hr commissions), $75 must be paid upfront and the rest upon completion (if it’s an extremely long piece I may ask for a second payment half-way before the remaining final payment).

Please contact me through EMAIL at anchoredtether[at]gmail.com with “COMMISSION” in the subject line otherwise I will ignore it! This is the easiest way to communicate details regarding your commission. You may DM me on social media but I don’t check it as often and we will still discuss commission details via email.

Additional fees may apply depending on your request. If the character has complex clothing, markings, tattoos, scars, coloring, etc., I will charge extra depending on the additional time it takes me to complete the artwork. If you can’t afford to pay more we can figure out some kind of simplification that will satisfy both of our needs.

I have the right to deny a commission for whatever reason and it is not because of anything personal. I may not like the ship or find the subject too difficult for my skillset or I may simply have no desire to draw what you have requested. Please respect that.

I will share with you my progress so if there’s any need/want for changes they can be made before the piece is completed. Don’t be afraid to tell me that their hair doesn’t look right or the color of their eyes needs to be lighter, etc. I want my customers to be happy with their product so please let me know in the progress stages what you’re liking and what you’re wanting to change.

A magic whumpee trying to heal their own/a friend’s wounds but thanks to their inexperience they misread a spell and end up making it so much worse

when you’re not sure about writing a fic because there wouldn’t really be an audience, and then you realize…

I really enjoy just existing in hotels. The long identical hallways. The soulless abstract art. The weird noises the air-conditioner makes. Strange city lights in the window. Six stories off the ground. Strangers chatting in the hall. Nothing in the dresser. No past, but an infinite present.

Y'know, I'm really loving the return to a "tropes are good" mindset. Embrace the cliché. Use the overused. If it makes you feel good to read and write, don't stress if it's not completely original. It's so much more fun to not agonize over having to make every aspect of a piece revolutionary

Magic or programming

if a fictional character gets stabbed, they have only 2 valid response options:

1. slowly raise their hand to the wound and/or pull the weapon impaling them out while everyone stares in horror before collapsing to the ground from shock and/or blood loss and being caught just in time by their friend/sibling/love interest

2. hide the wound beneath a dark item of clothing in preparation for the dramatic reveal later when another character touches them and their hand comes away bloody or they overexert themselves and they stumble and wince but still try to insist they’re fine, even though they’re clearly in pain and struggling to stay on their feet, and as the other character peels back their jacket it becomes clear that they’re badly hurt and have been for a while (bonus points if they’re wearing a white shirt underneath)

in movies, when a scientist is held hostage and is forced to make a bomb or virus, like my guy, those villains don’t know shit about science. just make a gumball machine, my dude
