PART ONE: Your quiet life of working at a convenience store is upended when ultra wealthy Seonghwa convinces you to pretend to be his girlfriend for one night in order to fool his parents.
PART TWO: Persuaded by Seonghwa to try a crash course in relationships in order to pull off convincing his parents of the lie that the two of you are deeply in love, you quickly realize that you might have taken on more than your heart is prepared for.

It’s near three in the morning when the question falls from your lover’s lips, his limbs still tangled in the comfort of your warm sheets. Yeosang wasn’t exactly sure why you were his favourite person.
Was it because you were his flatmate? Was it because you always helped him out with his studies and covered for his classmates when they dipped right before one of his group projects was due? Maybe it was because you never failed to do your share of chores, shopping and laundry, or because you never complained when his friends came over (in fact you even cooked for them sometimes). Another reason could be that you knew exactly the right combination of painkillers, tea and food that he needed to get over a hangover. Fuck, it could even be the fact that you’d never been insecure about how you looked in the mornings around him, standing at the kitchen counter in your worn pyjamas and with dry drool on your cheek every morning when he woke up.
It wasn’t that he couldn’t find any reasons as to why you were his favourite person - it was more that there were too many to choose from.
His favourite reason to think about was just how caring you were. Whether it was cooking for the boys, taking care of his hangovers or singing to the houseplants when you were sure he couldn’t hear you, Yeosang felt warmth in his chest each time he noticed your gentle nature. The only time he hated it was when you brought your boyfriend home.
