Curious thing: Neither Keigo nor Mizuiro live in Karakura. They live in Naruki City, but apparently are allowed to go to school in Karakura? I don't know how the rules are in Japan, so...

#oh i remember trying to figure this out before too! i picked somewhere around fussa city#but that's a ~45min-1h ride away from downtown tokyo which is possibly further away than kubo intended karakura to be#iirc i picked fussa b/c “there's a river that forks i don't CARE anymore if it forks in the wrong direction”#it was becoming as much of a headache as trying to figure out the floorplan of any given house in bleach lmao#how the fuck is the kurosaki house laid out? where are the stairs?? hallways??? WHERE'S THE BATHROOM#urahara shouten i can handwave as being bigger on the inside b/c kido shenanigans but the kurosaki house gave me conniptions#bleach#ref#bleach meta#oh also i took “western tokyo” to mean the prefecture but not the metropolis which might not have been what kubo meant either#looking at it now fussa's as far from tokyo as yokohama is... whoops lol

Ichigo doesn't take Grimmjow's facade of bloodlust even 1% seriously, and it's honestly really encouraging to see him smile about this sort of thing. That's the sort of trust Ichigo didn't used to hand out easily, and now he's extended it to a former mortal enemy.
