i know lots of fans don’t think taylor is a good person and im no economist so correct me but it’s kinda funny that people think of her as a capitalist. ofc she is signed with republic and they do her merch so that they can make a profit from having her as a client. but like even on a very personal level, she owns her work and no one is benefitting off of her. she very much believes in giving credit where it is due, artist’s rights is literally a passion of hers that she is actively fighting for and making a statement about by re-recording her music, and none of that goes hand in hand with capitalism. she took her music off of streaming platforms and went on a personal strike so that those platforms would start paying artists everywhere better. she personally got apple music to change their rule about not paying artists during the free trial. now ofc she is part of a capitalist society at large so she obviously must partake in it in some capacity when she does contract-hiring. but we know for a fact that people she personally hires are compensated fairly and compensated well. her band is paid for the whole year. all her management is in-house, and the way she controls her mega Taylor Swift business is soso indie.

now ofc she is extremely rich but she didn’t have to manipulate someone else into doing the work or manipulate people into spending money. she made the art and then used her extremely talented marketing brain to advertise said art and fans willingly bought it. regardless, can’t talk about all of this but not talk about ticketmaster. just based on the few things i talked about here (im sure there’s so much more we don’t know), in good faith, i just don’t believe she wanted to screw fans over to make some extra bucks. her hands were tied in a way and she had to work with TM to be able to even do a tour this big and book those stadiums because those stadiums literally have contracts with TM and all that legal stuff. anyway, im not saying she’s some liberal leftist worker god, and i understand the jokes and im not saying stop making them, but i genuinely think some fans don’t know this stuff and think the jokes are true. so here’s this.

i think one of the most important things taylor said tonight, and she really emphasized it, was that she happened to see our blog and screenshot and send it. like the chance of her seeing you is so slim and not being seen by her doesnt make u less of a fan. not being at a session doesnt mean u mean any less to her. its literally all timing and fate. its so random and she loves everyone so much. she said she happened to see the people there tonight and that was just like so important to me as a smaller blog. she happened to see us at the right time.

why i love taylor swift

at the uk secret sessions, there was a trampoline which all my friends asked taylor if we could go on and she said yes. as we got on i saw if anyone else got on it it would break so i stayed off. seeing that i was alone and not with my friends, whether taylor intended to do this or even realised she did this or not i have no idea, but she came and stood next to me and we started talking. nothing in the whole world could explain how i felt in that moment. for years i’ve been the one left out of stuff at school, i’ve been bullied, i’ve been alone and all i’ve wanted in those cases is for someone to step back and stay with me. that’s what taylor did. she made me feel valid and special. she made me feel like i matter. and i think this is something that describes taylor perfectly. @taylorswift you will never ever know how much that little thing meant to me i love you ❤️

You know who I feel the most sad for about all the Secret Session drama? First of all TAYLOR! Because she wants to celebrate her album with us and she trust us. Sometimes too much. And second of all, the fans that are invited that keeps their mouths shut! I did it, my friends did it and I know that a lot of you guys out there are doing it or have done it too. And therefore it must suck that people talk so much shit right now. So remember not to take it out on everyone guys! It’s probably one person that makes the terrible mistake and not all of them. I remember CRYING for hours when someone wrote about gorgeous online after my secret session. So I understand that the Lover secret sessioners probably do that too. Because most of them are innocent. But also Taylor Nation and Tree for all the extra work they have to do now. Because they are working so hard in the secret session times anyways with contacting everyone and making sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
