Figured something like this might solve the issues I felt with this area of the plot in S2.
Since it had a betrayal after betrayal after betrayal after betrayal af... why not spying on spying on spying.... too
Redo of an old Team avatar group photo back in 2018 when they first announced the live action π₯Ήπ

For @zutaraweek day 3: Union
Zuko opened his eyes as soon as he felt her fingers on him. A familiar sense of coolness underneath the warmth of her skin. Even without seeing her face, he would know her. As an enemy, her hands were deadly and unyielding. But as an ally, they were merciful.Β
He often wondered if their souls were intertwined. How else would one explain this sense of connection? Of always meeting each other in every corner of the world, no matter what mask they wear or disguise they don? He closed his eyes then leaned in.Β Β
A patron sketch request that I adored so much I colored it :DΒ
maybe in another life
Ok I admit I havenβt watched the show yetβ¦but whatβs this about Kataraβs scarf Iβm hearing? π
Zuko knew that he couldn't be selfish. The chaos in the fire court, the inevitable uprisings, and the other nations that will demand reparations; those were what awaited him when he sits on the throne. A constant battle to prove his capability to lead, to prove his worth. He couldn't pull her into it, no matter how much he wanted her.Β
A quick sketch bc Peace by Taylor Swift is stuck in my head.
Felt like sharing some Lee & Kya From The Tea Shop AU sketches β¨π΅
Kintsugi is the art of decorating your scars with pieces of Agni.
In the Fire Nation, the amount of golden marks are a sign of status. Only the Royal Family can afford to seal every single wound with Kintsugi. Such is the weight of this tradition that, among the ones with Agni's blood, it is the highest mark of dishonor to have a natural scar, for it proves you aren't worthy of the privilege.
After the Agni Kai, Ozai forbid Zuko's scar to be sealed with Kintsugi. The boy wasn't worth his title, his traditions or his pride. Zuko would be broken, but he wouldn't be beautiful. Not anymore.
(And sometimes it's easier to pretend he never was)
βThere was nothing to it. Just as she surged forward, he reached for her, wrapping his hand around the back of her neck and gently pulling her lips to his.β
My gift to @ok-boomerang, based on a scene from their fic your heart, my sleeve (go read it if you havenβt already!) Thanks so much to the @zkgiftexchange mods for organizing this event!
