it's all happening

Enzo had woken up rather early, mind unable to sleep any longer. It had a tendency to happen whenever he had been drinking heavily and yesterday night had been ridiculously heavy. He hadn’t had a night such as that one in quite a long time, and definitely not one where he had crashed a car into house. Because he had been up for hours, he had left the house for a little fresher blood than what was offered in the Salvatore residence. He had been back upstairs for an hour by the time he heard footstaps “I’m sure Stefan will appreciate the delivered breakfast. From what I hear he’s a big fan of feasting on all things furry or feathered.” He let out a huff of amusement at Sage’s assessment of his driving skills. “It was pretty good for a first go.” It wasn’t like he wasn’t going to just try it again. “And also a life lesson that you shouldn’t trust your car to a century old drunk vampire who’s never driven before.”

“Mm.” she detested with a nod. “If that’s the case, then, we’ll let him waltz his constitutional right to be a pansy.” she dismissed with dry belittlement in her voice.  “And the blood bags— I tell ya, Damon’s always had a little bit of it in him, too.”  Sage added on with blatant criticism.  “Just needs a little reminding; outside this ‘gluten-free, and kale eating’ bunch he’s got here.” She toyed in a cheeky manner. Sage was always about enjoying the pleasures that life as a vampire had to offer. During her stay here, she was going to see to it that it was actually fun, and not a snooze-fest. “Wait until you get a load of the good stuff. Monster trucks, sports cars, motorcyles...but, you-” She pointed a finger at him, moving it up and down twice. “you’re a monster truck kind of guy, I can tell.”

Her visit to Mystic Falls had gone awry. What initially started out as an investigation into rumors about the other side, had somehow led her here. Having spent the night in one of the many guest rooms inside the Salvatore Boarding House, she jumpstarted her day with a generous helping of liquor, and a blood bag mixed in one of the crystal glasses. Sage held her pick-me-up in one hand as she moved up the grand staircase. Midway, she found Enzo approaching towards the opposite direction. “I think you may’ve broken their window—I just saw birds flying around the foyer.” She was referring to last night, when Enzo atttempted to drive, wasted out of his mind; inevitably crashing. “Way to crash and burn.”

Harry fought back a groan. He should have known that this was what this was about. Cormac was all about Quidditch, he’d bit his ear off about it last year and he was lucky to escape the talk this year. “You missed, no redos. Reserve keeper or nothing, it’s only fair.” He should be grateful that he was letting him be a reserve keeper. Letting out a breath, Harry continued, “You’re good, but you need to fix your attitude if you want to really be on the team.” There, he said it. Cormac was a downright jerk half the time and he didn’t need someone like that on the team.

No redos, it’s only fair. Cormac heard nothing else beyond Harry’s concluding judgment. He didn’t care for the constructive criticism offered. Nor, did he value Harry’s opinion if it posed in opposition to him. You really think I’m going to have you lecture me on what’s fair? He countered with a bad-tempered belittlement in his tone. Cormac was entirely unwilling to accept Harry’s final call. “I’ll tell you what isn’t fair—nepotism.” He said accusingly. “Weasley’s butterfingers won’t stand a chance.”

“Is that a confession?” asked a man’s voice. The sound of boots drew closer, “Valentine, I presume?” He unholstered his arm, “Hmph, I don’t see why the others had such a hard time catching you…”

 It was a cop.

“No, no. I was here, running lines for an up and coming, debut performance”. She said the words in a smart-aleck manner, conveying the technicalities through words that concealed any hint of confession or pleading guilt. Faye kept herself composed, in light of the inevitable panic that accompanied a wanted woman’s paranoia. She appeared calm, as if eerily all-knowing of a situation she didn’t understand in the slightest. "Sorry, no autographs.” she kept it up in mockery.

underused female labels

Character labels are fun, but female characters tend to get pushed into the same ones over and over and over. Here are #74 labels under the cut that aren’t used for women very often, but could make for some really cool characters! I’ve sorted them in alphabetical order, mainly for easiness. Please like or reblog if this helped you.

“Faye-Faye!,” a shriek followed from behind, the patter of quick feet behind her as well. A quick peek noticed the furry friend galloping relentlessly behind brought another smile as she bolted for a quick tackle onto the woman she had been following a good few blocks. “Ed noticed you weren’t there this morning so decided to come find you for Jet. Ed does good work,” her words chirped happily.

“There is no people safe from the grasp of Edward,” she rattled her fingers in the air, smiling widely.

Faye’s first instinct was to recoil from Ed’s sudden tackle. She reacted with a sharp draw of a breath, appearing less than slightly irritated. It wasn’t personal, just a reflex, from any unwanted sheds of animal fur, or sticky residue; as one would usually expect from her. “Work, huh?” Faye indirectly mocked her suspicion that Jet had sent Ed as nothing more than a messanger. She paused a beat, fixing at her tangled purse strings. “Tell me something good— Jet’s got a lead?” Doubtful, seeing that the bounty was up there in the analytics and all that other complicated stuff. Stuff, which she counted on Jet to do the work, in time for her to swoop in when the action came calling.
