Mackenzie cracked a smile, as she eyed her salad. “ I have. More times that I can count,” she admitted. She shouldn’t feel so guilty about wanting something sweet and ultimately bad for her. Kenzie could afford to indulge every once in a while.

Kenzie moved her gaze from the salad to Tommy, her smile growing. “You’ve convinced me.” Eyes sparkled with amusement. “I could go for an entire box of donuts, what do you say?”

‘ I say that we should’ve been on our way out of here minutes ago. ’ she’ll quickly move out of her chair to stand , eager to leave. ‘ ---- and I also say about time because I’m starving and the only thing that’s going to get me through training tonight is a load of carbs , so --- ’ tommy even offers her hand. ‘ lets goooo. ’

of course she didn’t want to get herself KILLED ; that wasn’t part of her plan . even though she didn’t really have a plan .“ what ELSE can I do , tommy ? “ the pink ranger sighed , frustrated . tommy was right – there was a smarter option out there somewhere but RIGHT NOW , kimberly was far too panicked to think straight . “ my FRIENDS are in trouble , i have to help them ! “ that was the only thing she was absolutely certain about . she HAD to help her friends . it was all she could focus on . “ th-they need me , tommy . i can’t waste the time trying to find an option that might not EXIST ! “

‘ i don’t know !!! ’ there’s uncertainly and fear etched across tommy’s features, hands pulling to their hand, gripping their hair as they try to think. there has to be a plan. ‘ think , oliver , think. ’ their gaze drifts , weighing options that seem less and less likely to end in their survival before a load groan cracks through the air. ‘ you’re right. we’ve got to go. you can’t leave your friends and i’m not going to let you go in alone. ’ she empathizes , no one else needs to die. hands gripping onto kimberly’s shoulders , she’ll attempt a smile. ‘ we’ll work as a team. i’ve got your back. ’

“ My daddy is—- ” She breaks off, shaking her head furiously about the offer of sex, She doesn’t need sex. Wants it, sure, but doesn’t need it. She’s the worst. She’s the world’s worst daughter, sister, the worst at everything—–absolutely everything. “ My sister—–it’s my fault. I guess I’m my mother’s daughter after all, ” she’s going to crumble, to fall apart, because she can, right ?? Tommy isn’t going to judge her for crying. This is all she can do. Sitting there, beside her girlfriend, she lets her see her cry. Not witty remarks, no sharp retorts, && no laughter to mask anything… just. Sobs.

father. sister. mother. no brother. didn’t mention her brother. she’ll pocket that for later , but not now. certainly not now as catherine’s resolve breaks into tears. not good. ‘ whoah. okay ---- ’ tommy’s gaze shifts , briefly , down to the floor. ‘ start from the beginning. slowly and take --- take your time. ’ if there’s anything that she could do to help ? of course she’d do it. her arm wraps around the blonde’s shoulder , then her other until she pulls catherine in for a hug. ‘ or let it out and i’m here ; right here. ’

so she’ll stay a while , is what green deduces. too greedy , tommy can feel it in her bones , in her fingertips pressing against the other’s hips. hers , hers , hers. it’s thrilling. international love. kinda forbidden romance but only by distance. yet , she’s here and tommy can only beam as lips spread into the wildest of smiles. she’s unchained , unrestrained like this. happy. true happiness. no worries , nothing to worry about ( until that voice creeps. but toffee is stronger than the voice. it’s quiet. it’s freedom when toffee is near ). ‘ so , a while. ’ hushed whisper against lips , teeth gently digging into her own mouth. she’ll tug , hopeful that the other will follow. don’t have to do anything but to lay with her ? to forget about anything other than each other and four walls ? bliss.
