A thing that will never fail to fuck me up about lb6 is that if things had been even 10% better it would have improved things SO much. If the fairies hadn't tossed Baobao in the abyss we wouldn't have Cernunnnos. If the fairies didn't brag to Barghest to her face about killing humans we wouldn't have to deal with the black dog. If Aurora had done literally anything else we wouldn't have had to deal with Albion. If Cnoc hadn't been killed if Morgan hadn't been killed if literally just ONE (1) of these horrible things hadn't happened we would be in a completely different situation. But no we're playing Heaven's Feel 2.0 and brother. You can bet this heaven can feel.
another thing is that oberon orchestrated the vast majority of this either directly or indirectly. he's the one who cursed barghest into eating her loved ones in the first place. he's the one who sealed her memories so that she would only break and become the calamity when everything else was already falling apart and there'd be no time to deal with her individually. he's the one who set the fang clan on the wing clan long ago and pushed muryan into getting revenge, crippling britain's fighting force. he enabled aurora by giving her the idea of overthrowing morgan and telling her about panhuman history. he got koyanskaya to kill the backup morgan sent woodwose and aurora to convince woodwose that morgan abandoned him. oberon had to work so goddamn hard to actually destroy britain because if things were even 10% better it could've still been saved.
