  • The American Civil Liberties Union took the Trump administration to federal court Saturday night over its new restrictions on immigrants and refugees coming to the U.S. — a policy many have linked to President Donald Trump’s promised Muslim ban.
  • After about an hour of arguments in a New York City court, a judge granted a stay effectively blocking Trump’s executive order and barring customs officials from detaining immigrants and refugees at U.S. airports, according to Dale Ho, an ACLU representative. Read more

Grow the fuck up.

You aren’t required to forgive someone when they apologize, but you should at least acknowledge when they do so.

If you suddenly block someone without reason and they ask for a reason, at least give them something. Don’t be a petulant child and block any attempt at giving them closure.

If someone tries to work out an issue with you, to compromise, don’t throw their attempts back in their face. It just makes you look like a selfish prick.

Hey everyone! If you have ever interacted with @thewinterslave, and you have the means, please consider contributing to the fundraiser I’m helping run for him! Steven is an awesome guy, and he’s struggling to deal with his PTSD. Finding a service dog would really change his life, and unfortunately, they’re near impossible to come by if you’re not a veteran, despite the fact that PTSD affects more people who have never seen combat than people who have.

Every little bit counts, even if all you can spare is $5. If you can’t contribute, please signal boost this along! Thank you!

It is incredibly humbling that my friend is trying to help me in this way. I cannot express how life-changing having a service animal could be for me. I cannot currently go to public places unaccompanied, for fear of dissociating, which could cause something terrible to happen to me. I haven’t got friends or family near me that can assist me in my day to day life.

Even if nothing comes of this, anyone who tried to help with a reblog or anything else, thank you.

I know it’s tough post-holidays to spare money, but this is a really important cause that will change Steven’s life.

Skip your $5 Starbucks today and help someone in need instead. Pack lunch instead of buying a $10 salad and give someone a chance at a better life.

Every little bit counts! Your choices have the power to save others, even if they are small ones. Thank you for continuing to signal boost!

I feel bad because my friend tried hard to help me.

I did warn her, though. People will raise tens of thousands of dollars for a fan art book to be made because they get something out of it. they aren’t going to give a dime to a person in their own fan community who needs help with recovering from a major disorder. That’s the way the world works. Gotta give something to get something.
