“We were all given assigned seats on our bus because shit went down too many times and now you’re my seat buddy and I don’t want the rest of the year to be awkward” Since the incidents at the campus, many of the students at college moved to outer dorms. What seemed a simple task became a hassle, specially when they literally asigned “seat buddies” by number and name for those who lived outside the campus.

Staring at the number he was given Eren sigehd shaking his head- “07..” -the seat was empty, 7 and 8 were together, he had th hall but he asumed others wouldn´t care so he took the seat by the window and waited until his asigend companion reached the bus.

Because of having an protective father, Petra was so used to living on campus or having her beloved dad drive her around, especially at times like this. Bless his poor soul since it was obvious that he would be panicking out of his mind right now over his only daughter if he has t caught wind of the news ramping through the town.

1..2..3.. How long did this bus go on for? How did buses even work for a matter of fact? It put a downer on the fact they allowed no cars in so she couldn’t even travel herself at the inconvenience of her own personal schedule. Once the ginger finally found her seat she gently placed herself down while ignoring the shouts of her other classmates.

He was looking through the window when he got a hold of the ginger on his sight. He looked to the side and frowned a little, maybe she wanted to tahe the window?

“Hey there.. umh.. we are bus companions I guess” -he sighed softly as he offered his hand- “I am Eren.. I am in first year.. “ -Eren added trying to sound calm nad hopefulyl she was not angry cause he took her seat-

hm? Petra looked down from searching all the seat numbers. She looked puzzled for a moment or two while she tried to remember where she recognized the boy meek in his tone. Then it clicked with her once Petra took her seat next to him. 

“Hey aren’t you that kid that destroyed campus and Levi Ackerman had to calm you down?” The ginger giggled after her sentence.  

“ …..”-Eren frowned at the comment fo the newcomer, he wished that was in the past by this point but it will keep haunting him up until this day-

“YEah.. same person.. not kid.. I was not feeling very well.. and that guy Jean pissed me off” -Eren crossed his arms and kept his eyes staring at the front- “and no.. I was not crazy or whatever”

“I never said you were crazy... But your theatrics landed you a spot in our club room since you have to be buddy friends with Levi. Or at least try.” She spoke while trying to focus on rummaging through her bag. With the incident going around campus the ginger felt the need to write down every interaction she made. not that she would show how nervous she was on her tougher outer shell. 

“Relationships may not be the best since they could mess with peoples through processes on the field… But surely you’ve had feelings for another person like that before?”

“Whether or not I have had feelings like that before, it doesn’t matter. I can’t act on them. Ultimately my death by a titan would either upset them or they will just end up leaving like always. I’m not doing that to myself again, never mind someone I love.”

“You honestly think like that...? That must be a burden on your shoulders on top of everything else. I will make it a priority with my time in to corps to take some of the burden off of you.”

“Don’t bite me hand this time, okay? I don’t want to go to the emergency room again…”

    “E-Eh…” Jeez, she could still taste the blood in her mouth if she thought about it long enough… 

    “I-I told you that wasn’t intentional!”

“I know, I know. You’re a very hungry person and you just got over excited.” The ginger giggled as she flicked corn kernel at her face.  

“Ah this princess has a present for her charming prince for our anniversary.” The small ginger flashed a grin from across the kitchen as the cat jumped into her arms unexpectedly. “But if you don’t wanna go out I’m down for that too, My love.”

“Oh, Is that so?” Levi comments as he heads to the cabinets and takes out a frying pan and the ingredients to make french toast. “Well, we do have dinner reservations but other than that I’m fine with just chilling at home.”

“Mhmm. Well today is a special milestone for us so I saved up as much as I could for it.” Petra sighed with content as the ginger set out the table for the two of them. “Maybe I should get a medal for putting up with your sleep talking for so long!”

“Today certainly is a special milestone for us.” Levi agrees as he cracks the eggs and beats them before placing them in the frying pan and adding the other ingredients. “I appreciate that you saved up some but I won’t have you paying for anything today.”He scoffs a bit at Petra’s commenting on his sleep talking. “Well, you aren’t exactly a silent sleeper either, my princess.”

“Hey!” She whined at his comment. “It’s only because I miss you in my sleep…” The young woman took a seat next to their furry feline son. Watching her partner from the next room. “When I finish college you can be my house husband!”

“Yes, living arrangements should be easier after you graduate.” Levi agrees as he  finishes cooking their french toast and serves up two plates for them before he joins Petra at the table and places her plate and silverware in front of her before sitting down with his own. “I’ve been saving up but I don’t think we have enough to afford a house just yet.”

“This place is fine enough my sweet. We won’t need the extra space for a few years at least anyway. Or at least until Oluo and the guys stop using us as a hotel.” Petra let out an irritated sigh as soon as Oluo entered her mind. had always enjoyed her lovers cooking and how relaxed he was when he was at home and not focusing on work the practically ran his life. If only they would give him his promised weekends so she could have him back. “I would be nice to have more nights together with you once work hire more people. I get bored all by myself.”

Levi cuts a small piece of french toast off and places it in his mouth. “I agree, I’m tired of being a doormat to everyone.” He gets up again after realizing he hasn’t prepared any drinks. “Would you like tea or coffee?” Levi asks as he pours himself a cup of tea. “My boss is currently conducting interviews so, hopefully he’ll find candidates that satisfy him.” 

“No thanks, sweetie. But at least your time would be freed up with more employees.” With the cats cries from under the table pulling on her heartstrings she couldn’t help but treat their furry child to a small piece of her breakfast while her partners back was turned, until something popped back in her mind. “Hey isn’t it Eld’s wedding tomorrow?”

“Yes, my time would be freed up…so long as the new employees learn the job quickly. My boss wants me to supervise any new employees.” Levi explains with a sigh. “The last kid was such a pain in the ass, I don’t know how he managed to graduate from college, much less get hired at our company.” When he hears Petra bring up Eld’s wedding he nearly drops his tea cup and ends up having to grab a paper towel to clean a few drops of tea that spilled out. “Shit, I thought that wasn’t until next week.” Levi places his tea cup down on the table carefully and walks over to their calendar to discover that it is in fact tomorrow.

Straighten out the local paper as she sat back on her seat while her other half was silently panicking about his lack of organisation. “Don’t worry, Levi. I got us a present so you just need to sign the card.” She spoke with a slight giggle after her sentence. He was so cute when he was flustered, he was normally they type to plan way in advance so when she saw him slip like that was kind of like a guilty pleasure of his cute quirks. “I’m happy that Eld found his soulmate, it’s obvious they were meant for each other.”

Levi begins to calm down hearing that Petra has already taken care of the weeding gift. “Good, I’m sorry that I let that slip by.” He replies bashfully as he returns to the table and takes his seat again. “Yes, she does appear to be a good match for him.” Levi agrees as he sips his tea. “Hopefully their marriage will be a long and happy one.”

“And the same for us in this relationship. I mean we practically share everything, well me even more so since your shirts are nice, soft, and comforting when you’re not here.” The ginger gave up on the newspaper when their feisty feline decided to jump on the table and attack the papers in question. “Plus we have a furry child of our own so I am sure this with turn out good for the long run.”

“Yes, we have our ups and downs but I think we’re doing well overall.” Levi scoffs at their furry child making a mess while he plays with the newspaper. “Yes, our mischievous little kitten…” He reaches out to pick the cat up before he starts tearing the newspaper to shreds and carries him over to the cat tower they have set up. “Play up there.”

"Well if we didn't have ups and downs, then that wouldn't be human." Following after her partner Petra wraps her arms around the normally stoic man's waist. The ginger watched their happy kitten play as she sighed happy. "I love it when you're home, you are so much happier and relaxed."

“It’s just you’ve not been yourself ever since you ended your last rumoured relationship..” It was upsetting to see a close friend upset too Petra. Yet she had no idea how to comfort the colleague who always seemed to be disgruntled with his work. “Is thee anything I can do to cheer you up?”

Levi looked at Petra before he looked down at his book. “I’m fine. I swear I’m fine.” He said, “Erwin’s….. Erwin and its not like I didn’t expect it.” He looked back at Petra, “Not really.”

Taking a seat beside him, she couldn’t help but noticed the twang of sadness mixed with his normal scowl. “ I am sure you can work things out with him, after all we still Gotta work with him.” She spoke in a positive tone to try and comfort her beloved friend with their physical limits,

Levi nodded and let out a long, exhausted sigh. “I know I know. I just… I still have some of my clothes at his place. He still has clothes and other things at my apartment.” He started off, “I don’t want to go back to my apartment… His scent’s everywhere. I’d much rather stay here.”

“I understand in some way, Levi you’re not alone… Aruro moved out a week ago because of our disagreements.” Her relationships weren’t exactly perfect either for her so the ginger receptionist understood fully what he was going through.

“Could I just stay with you I mean…. You can have to say no.” Levi said as he looked at her.

“Well it would full the feeling of isolation after him leaving for now. It’s pretty empty.” Petra tried to not let her own sadness interfere with their conversation about him and him alone. “Do you want me to give you a lift to your apartment to pick up some stuff?”

“How are you doing with your break up?” Levi asked, looking at her, “Sorry. We’ve been talking a lot about me and I didn’t want to be the center of attention in this.”

“Eh were on a break from the engagement rather than brake up completely for now. But I don’t know what to do with myself without him.” It was obvious it got to her, but even more so that she had no idea what to do with her own life without the person who completed it for three years. Clutching her files closer to her chest, she felt the sudden pain and tightness in her chest Eve thinking about him. “I miss him… His company and his voice.”

Levi looked down and then walked over to her. He hugged her and patted her head. “I’m sorry… We spent all this time talking about me I forgot about your break up for a moment.” He said, “We can help each other out with this.”

"I don't even know what I did to apologise..." Once her face made contact with her dear friend's shirt, She started to gently sob as the memories of their messy brake up came rushing back to her. "I'm a bad person..."
