You made a monster out of me and now you love my ugly features, the blood behind my eyes, the soft cadence of my bones.
If all goes well, you will be able to save more than one innocent life tonight.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) dir. Alfonso Cuarón

Just want to vent a little about censorship when it comes to art:
There seems to be a bit of a trend, especially on sites like this, to put art into boxes, or to force art to adhere to certain moral codes, and perhaps most worryingly: to judge people wholly on what kind of art they like. I see a lot of discourse which, actually doesn’t seem like discourse at all. It’s more “that is wrong and if you like that, you are therefore wrong, also” - or coming from the opposite side, too. I find it worrying how polarised people can be, and that in the process of being so vastly polarised, we miss out on seeing the nuance, which I think is very important? Recently, I watched Call Me By Your Name, but I nearly didn’t, because I had seen a lot of comments / posts saying it was a disgraceful film, because of the age difference between the lovers (for anyone who doesn’t know: one of the lovers, Elio, is 17. The other, Oliver, is 24). I had this preconceived notion of “that film = bad”, and that if I dare say otherwise, I’ll be hounded and told I am supporting a problematic film. But that… that is censorship? Having people make you feel afraid to learn something for yourself, attempting to censor what we see and also, what we think. But here’s the thing: I watched the film, and it was brilliant. Really brilliant and affecting. And I want to clarify something that I think is very important: finding a piece of art moving, doesn’t mean you don’t have questions, or concerns, about facets of the story. I have plenty of thoughts over their relationship, and plenty of questions - but isn’t that the whole point of art? To make us think critically and reflect? To help us figure out the world? I totally respect that some people will have a problem with films, like CMBYN, or just any piece of art that raises questions or may not fit into neat boxes. Express that concern, talk about it constructively, but it troubles me how often I hear “art like that shouldn’t be made”. Censorship is dangerous. So dangerous, and we need to be able to choose freely what art we view because that means we can choose freely what we think.
Words were different when they lived inside of you.

you
you are a kaleidoscope beautiful but deceitful
every time i see you you change
a multitude of colours and shapes you are a shape shifter
you are a lie

Be careful, you are not in wonderland. I have heard the strange madness long growing in your soul. But, you are fortunate in your ignorance. In your isolation. You, who has suffered, find where love hides. Give, share, lose. Lest we die unbloomed. -Kill Your Darlings
The things we lose always come back to us in unexpected ways.
i kinda enjoy the idea of ginny gradually cutting her hair shorter and shorter throughout the years
the girl gave off an aura of distinct dottiness. perhaps it was the fact that she had stuck her wand behind her left ear for safekeeping, or that she had chosen to wear a necklace of butterbear caps, or that she was reading a magazine upside down
