Killian knew that his son was like him in many ways. He could see him using anger and hate as a way to try to hide his pain. It was the same thing Killian had done for years. The way to push people away so you didn’t get too close, in fear of losing them. “He is a good lad, deep down… Change is always hard. I think part of him doesn’t want to care about anyone else. There is always the fear of losing people. Its the reason I fought how I felt about you at first.”

Loss. Emma had thought about that before but now that Harry had said what he had said, there was the full evidence, that part of why he might be holding back from this family. Well loss would only come in the form of death, now. And death didn’t seem interested in them anymore - and Killian had had his fair share of it. “He won’t loose anyone from this family. Ever again.”

Killian was always worried that something would be wrong and he could lose Emma. So Emma telling him she couldn’t go back to work permanently scared him at first. “What do you mean? Is there something wrong?” He asked, his brow furrowing as the little girl reached out toward him when he got home. “Are you okay?”

“Well it depends.” She started softly. “I am not feeling okay. But you shouldn’t worry about that.” Emma placed her hand on the childs back and on Killians arm as she went closer to the both of them, almost leaning into her husband. “So...the reason...well it’s simple and it’s a good reason. I’m...pregnant again.” She pointed at their daughter. “We’re having a second one of those.”

Even though he had just met her, he already loved her more than anything. She smiled up at him and reached up and he let her take his finger as he smiled down at her. He looked up at Emma’s words. Before this moment all he had wanted was revenge, now he wanted to do everything to protect his little girl and Emma.
“We can set sail immediately, love,” he stated with a small smile. They had everything that they needed on the ship. There was a knock on the door and asked opened up before peeking inside. “Captain, we… . “ he started before noting the little girl in his captains arms. “Oh, is she yours captain?” Killian nodded with a small smile.
“We need to set sail now, Smee, Towards Arendelle, we need to find a safe place for Emma, our daughter, and I.” He ordered.
“Aye, Captain, right away!” He stated as he left.

Emma stared at the captain in pure awe as he immediately, without hesitation told his crew member, that yes, the child was his. He was openly saying that their daughter was his. It was so much more than she expected. He accepted their daughter. Emma smiled at the man called Smee, happy that he seemed to listen to Killian.

She moved to the Captain and gently took the baby out of his arm. “I assume it would go smoother and faster if the captain took care of setting sail and choosing the course.” She said as she held her daughter in her arms. “And this little munchkin seems rather tired, so I’d like to put her down otherwise she might be very, very cranky... can I put her in your bed?”

This world had been rather odd as it was given that much had changed in his years unconscious. Extraterrestrial threats were not something he had really anticipated. But so far a lot had been surprising to him. “Alright, I think I can help with that,”

“I know you can.” Emma hooked herself into his arm, smiling at him happily. She had learned that a bit of confidence went a long way with him. His powers were connected to his emotions, as were hers but he was new in this. And he was doing good already. He was doing very good.

“And you always got me, buddy.”

Killian couldn’t say he really understood many of the holidays that this world had made up. Some seemed almost like they may have taken some ideas from things in the Enchanted Forest, but whatever twist they put in always baffled him. “Who is this Santa Claus that I’m supposed to dress as? … I am quite good at getting Smee to do whatever I ask him.”
His first mate usually did anything he asked, if only because he wanted to make sure to stay on his good side. Though he had noticed that the man was father fond of his little girl as well and always offered to do anything to help Killian with her or even to spend more time with her. “I can’t say I quite understand what this holiday is about, but the tree is rather pretty.”

“Christmas comes from many cultures and traditions.” She explained softly. “It all comes down to being a celebration of love and family.” and as that she hadn’t experienced it herself before. Which made it all the more important for her now. She wanted her baby and Killian to have this now.

“Santa Claus is a friendly old man who brings presets to kids that were good. He doesn’t exist, but it’s a nice little thing and I want her to have it when she’s so small. There are songs, and the decorated tree. There are treats and the family sits together and has dinner, shares stories and all. It’s all about the family sitting together mainly. And the kids get presents. And sometimes the grown ups too.”

“Dressing baby girls is fun. Then they age three years and the boys get the better, tasteful clothing. Girls? No they get the glitter bombs from hell," Neal mumbled as he picked glitter out of his coffee mug. (from dreamcatchercassidy - I just had to send this)

Emma laughed. To her that wasn’t even true. “It’s not a glitter bomb from hell.” She pointed out “It’s a fairy costume and she loves it very much. You know how much she adores Tinkerbell. Which means we have to endure glitter for a while.”

“Well it might not be from hell, but it’s close to. I swear that thing keeps making glitter,” Neal remarked, as he sipped on his glittery coffee. “I have a feeling it’s going to be longer than a little while, but I found her something…”

Neal hopped from his seat and went to the closet. Pulling out a bag, he held up a little purse, headband, and shoe combo that was covered in glitter. “What do you think?” he asked.

“More glitter...” Emma said in mock annoyance. “She will love it.” She would. Glitter was currently her daughters defining like. Everything else had to take a backseat. Emma was willing to do anything her daughter wanted, just to keep her safe. “All she thinks she needs now is a tiara”

“And if I say yes?” (from dreamcatchercassidy)

“Then you say yes and we get this over with.” Emma said. It had to be done. She didn’t want to get married like this, but if she had to, she would. FOr her people.

Neal nodded. “Yes. I will do it. I don’t want anyone to suffer at the hands of my father any more,” he whispered. “This isn’t the most opportune wedding, but I promise to be the best husband I can be. I promise to be loyal to a fault and I will follow your wishes…”

She looked at him. How did he think this would work? They were forced into this, by his fathers involvement, too. She didn’t necessarily care if he wanted to be that. “We’ll be married on paper and that’s it.”
