One of my top favorite tropes in G / t is an enemies to lovers plot between a nerd / social outcast, and a jock / bully where the bully gets shrunk and the nerd ends up being the one to find them and take care of them?? Just compassion despite the circumstances?? 

Any little play on this trope is SO good too. Like, the nerd doesn’t realize that they were just as mean rude and the jock was just matching energy?? Or the nerd gets shrunk and is found by the jock and the jock realizes how bad they’ve been towards the nerd because they are literally in fear for their life?? 

AHH I just love everything about this trope

g/t thought of the day

imagine you're a tiny (let's say around the 10cm/4in tall)

you have a regular sized friend that you live with, you try your best to help out around the house despite your size not allowing you to do much.

much of your role is being there for emotional support, you tend to sit down next to your friend whenever they're having a rough day to talk to them and cheer them up a bit.

one day you notice they seem to be really down, getting back home from work only to go directly to bed.

you, worried about them, decide to go after them and climb up the bed to have a talk with them like you always do, but just as you're about to ask what's wrong...

they grab you.

they hold you by their fingertips and pull you closer, putting you on their chest and telling you they could really use a hug.

as you lay on their very soft chest, covered by their equally soft hands... you can feel their heartbeat pounding like crazy, with them clearly not having a good time. you assure them everything's going to be alright, after which they seem to calm down a bit and their heartbeat steadies.

you ask if they want you to stay there a little longer, to which they happily agree while giving you a soft smile.

“Oh- Hello little guy! Are you a borrower? Do-“

“No, you gotta listen to me, I’m a normal sized person who’s been shrunk and I need help.”

“Oh my god, yeah, of course. What do you need?”

“I’m too fucking small to hit my elfbar and it’s been two hours without nicotine and I’m losing my goddamn mind, man.”

“Ah. I see. Okay, you’re going into the Cold Turkey Shoebox.”

“What? Wait-“

“You’ll be fine. I’ve helped plenty of shrunken ones quit the nic. You’re gonna feel so much better, dude.”

“NO PLEASE, I NEED MY BLUE RAZZ ICE, YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO M-“

Was thinking about heartbeats in g/t last night

-Smaller creatures usually have a faster resting bpm than something big. I mean, compare an elephant and a mouse. Imagine a giant hearing a tinys heartbeat the first time and being unnerved by how faster it is than theirs

-a tiny feeling a giants thunderous heart. Its all encompassing, like a vibrating metronome. Its scary, but the tiny is used to everything being loud and scary

-A tiny laying on their giants chest, or the crook of their neck. Just resting, maybe sleeping peacefully. And the giant has to try not bursting into tears because they can feel their tinies heartbeat and its so slow and calm, and they can feel their rhythmic breathing and they can't believe theres teensy little organs keeping their tiny alive. Its just too sweet

-A giant gets hurt in someway, and the tiny has to crawl around their chest or neck to find a pulse

-vice versa, a tiny is hurt and the giant has to be oh so gentle finding a pulse. They have to press and focus to actually feel anything, but not too hard or they'll crush them

GtWac Day 2: Prompt

I would go absolutely feral over an emotional size shifter with a sort of reverse dynamic. So instead of the typical - angry go big, sad go small, have that flipped.

The angrier they get, the more they shrink. If they're sad, they grow.

As for the other emotions?? Coin toss. Maybe when they're feeling cozy and comfortable they grow? Or when they're smug/confident they shrink?

Maybe thats just the way their powers manifested, or perhaps its some sort of curse- they lacked control over their emotions and were cursed to have some sort of built in regulator to keep them in check. Can't get mad at customer service if you're a whole 6 inches tall, now can you? Trying to just bottle up how much someone hurt your feelings? Try hiding those tears when you're 30ft tall. Get bigged, idiot.

What its like the first time it happens? How effective are they at controlling it? Did their friends/family/loved ones find out right away?

I've been playing around with some alternate fits for Aedes (not necessarily design change but more so givin' him some options)

I like a lil mix of like 50-60s with some vaguely Victorian elements.

Beanstalk Chapter One

I've never played Fable, but the trailer filled with great G/T vibes sparked my interest to write a story based on the characters, Dave the vegetable enthusiast, and the hero of the story (who I named Rory). I've always wanted to write a fairytale, jack and the beanstalk type story and this just clicked it all together!

It's still an ongoing story but I've written the first three chapters which I'll post. I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed writing it!

Chapter One

            The earth had shaken the entire village with its rumbling, they had told her, as she sat with a tankard of ale that night at the local (and only) bar and inn. Once they realized she was a Jack, the townsfolk fell over themselves to tell her the tale. A giant beanstalk-like plant had spontaneously sprouted out of the earth, miles away, through the other side of the forest – but it was so large that the earthquake that occurred at its growth still reached them in their homes. The cobblestone paths were left cracked and humped, and cottages sat askew. Though the earthquake had passed, they were still afraid of it. Not the plant itself – but of what could climb down.
